That's nothing, I once put 47 past my eldest. Could have got more if I hadn't pulled my hammy but I had to nip after her as she's quite fast for a two year old. In the end it was all "Daddy I don't want to play any more" but I made her complete the full game and took her favourite teddy as a trophy.
Paper, scissors and stones? Or possibly the one who got hat trick 1st. But considering the absolute battering given out, they should give it the Latvia team, to auction or give to charity for people back home. Something like that.
They brought out 4 match balls at the end and handed them out! Aside from the scoreline, the FA should be pretty ashamed at the way they put that game on. Traffic was carnage on the way in to Donny and they should have delayed the kick off. Thousands arrived late, not a copper in sight and stewards on the gate well understaffed and getting absolute hammer from the punters. I had tickets for a group of 20 parents and kids, so even though I eventually got to ground at 10 past 7 (with score at 4-0), I couldn't go inside till everyone arrived which was 5 mins before half time. Loads outside in same boat. Surely they knew how many tickets they'd sold vs how many were in the ground at 6:45? Anyway, kids loved it, even if there was never any likelihood of a contest. Had to feel for the Latvian kids, though they did get plenty of support and encouragement too on their odd foray into opposition territory.
England ladies also put 10 past them at their place in October so that's 30 in 2 games. In the qualifying table Latvia played 5 lost 5. goals for 2. goals against 46.
It’s a cracking turnout. We went to a male Under 21? game a few years ago and they’d sold nowhere near that many. Often for the women there’s fewer fans than 10k in Wembley. Edit: looked it up; Marcus Rashford played (U20) and there were just over 3000 there.
seriously? they should give the fans their money back. I once played in a game we won 26 nil and it might sound fun but its really not, we could have scored more but we felt sorry for them in the end.
We were in the same boat. Got there at twenty past 7, the person with the tickets got there quite a bit later later. It was 6-0 when I got in and 8-0 by the time I'd said hello to everyone and sat down
According to footballgroundguide.com it's 15231 Maybe us closing the west stand and having the other restrictions are testing the water for a ground share with them
