    Sometimes at the end of the prosecution case defence council will argue that there is no case for the defendant to answer based upon the evidence that has been presented. Dependant upon the judge's ruling on that submission, the defence will then have to decide whether they wish to call evidence, or simply to argue that based upon the evidence their client should have the benefit of reasonable doubt.

    No-one should reply to this post with their opinion as that would be to risk being in contempt.
