    Hi,

Hope everyone that had one of our Chicken Flatbreads today enjoyed and looking forward to our next Kiosk takeover against WBA. We are thinking, Turkey, Pork, Pigs in Blankets, stuffing all served in a Yorkshire pudding!

    Thanks again

As posted elsewhere - fantastic food and value. Keep up the good work.

And this week it was well advertised on social media, so we planned for it.

Seemed very popular but was it a fiver for one?

Plan is to have a Street Food van parked inside the Ponty end (next to fence outside) doing a few different dishes including Flatbreads.

My mistake as when I read this I thought it was two for a fiver.....

    http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/kiosk-takeover.310137/

I have never known it be called kiosk 2. Lee himself said middle. Think for a bit of bread, few pieces of chicken, bit of salad (which is cheap) and some sauce it's over priced even if it tastes good. All the ingredients used can't have come to more than a pound so the mark up is excessive.

I didn't get one but it looked really nice and the portion sizes didn't disappoint either from what I saw.

A couple of suggestions. Try to get the blackboard up on the wall next to the kiosk rather than on the counter. Completely get why you did for the first time but yeah, get it up on the wall and boom. Better yet ask for budget TV that could be mounted on the wall with the ad on it as an image. Would definitely catch people's attention then.
The second one is to again ask if anything can be done about a queuing system for the kiosk like we have for the bar next to it. The queue went all the way across the concourse and a barrier system wouldn't cost much even if it was just like those used outside for bag searches.

They're just suggestions not criticisms as I heard and saw nothing but positivity around the chicken today. Well done to all concerned

As compared to £4.20 for a beer? £3.60 for a sausage roll?

I think £5 is abit expensive really but it seems to be the norm to overprice everything at football matches

better than the mark up for the packets of sweets. A fiver doesn't sound too bad to me.

I'm as tight as they come but I think a fiver is a fair price at a football ground. Probably wouldn't pay it :D but I accept that it's fair and I'm just a tight arse. I would be chucking my money at the Yorkie Pudding Wrap though, especially if it has a bit of gravy on it!

I bet the ingredients did cost more than that and then there's the costs of cooking it etc.

And the cost of paying the staff to work there, and possibly a lease on the kiosk...

This. This is exactly the sort of thing I'd save having lunch for. Boll0x to burgers and pies in the ground, give me something different. That combined with having the fanzone back with proper beer (craft and ale, not Carling etc.) would be worth arriving early for.

Didn’t have one but saw it and it looked very well priced for a fiver. I doubt you’d get that anywhere for less, never mind inside a football ground

I found the flat bread very reasonably priced tbh. It was full of flavour and iam a bit of a foodie. By far the best item of food i have tasted at oakwell.
