Much improved performance and some good/ solid performances across the team. Once again we looked weak in midfield. Gomes in particular gave the ball away far too much and Palmer n the second half wasn’t as competitive as we need him to be.

Morris gave it away regularly in the first half hour, and his flicks were ill advised . Then he realised they weren't working and stopped it.

He missed one header that he should have got on target, if indeed not buried.

    He looked threatening though.

Meanwhile, Mads at the back was calm and tidied everything up that he didn't win in the first place. Positional sense was first class. Supertyke will say he was crap though.

Surprised at the vote for Gomes. No criticism intended just thought he gave the ball away in danger areas far too much today.

    Football will always amaze me.

Because I saw the total opposite. I thought everything good came from him, his touch to beat a man and open up the attacks were what we’ve needed for a few weeks. He seemed to be everywhere too, whenever our lads looked up he was there ready to have the ball off them.

I was shocked his name wasn’t announced as man of the match in the stadium.

thought Mads was good. The best of the centre halves. Helik again looked a shadow of the player he can be.

Styles was very good first half but anonymous in the second. Brittain tried but once again lacked quality.

2nd half he had a spell where he couldn't find a red shirt at one point almost leading to a goal he held his hands up when they missed in acknowledgement. Good at times but awful at times aswell no where near motm for me.

Thought he was good offensively but far too wasteful in the middle of the pitch misplacing dimple passes time and again. Against better opposition his errors would have cost us goals.

Morris, Mads or Gomes were in the running but given Morris got that rarity of a goal I've gone with him.

I’d agree he was awful on and around the half way line in the second half lost it time and time again.

I agree, he seemed to have the most about him in a lot of ways. Just needs the consistency now.

    Morris for me.

I thought Gomes was decent until he tired midway through the second half, then his passing dropped a level or two. Got into some very good positions around the box, but needs shooting practice this week.

    Morris for me.

Special mention for Mads. He rarely puts a foot wrong these days. Also, thought Gomes was brilliant in spells - he did fade later on but he was carrying Palmer through the game IMO.

Carlton all day long for me; we’ve missed him, welcome back. Mads a close second.

Morris, just ahead of Mads for me. It's incredible how much Andersen has improved since his first season here when he looked like a rabbit in headlights. Very composed on the ball. Given it to Morris though as he looks like the key to us staying up this season. He'll comfortably get double figures in goals if he stays fit.

Had Gomez not suddenly but a blue and white shirt on in the 2nd half he would have won it hands down.

Morris for me, and a honourable mention for Mads
