Labour say nothing under Starmer. The Lib Dems say nothing. The press are quiet. Most people seem to be uninterested or detached about it. Very worrying imo. Dunno what others think.
Labour have objected in parliament at every opportunity,they've spoken publicly about it. The issue is the Tories have a 80 seat majority, so we can only hope the Lords intervenes. What a time to be alive.
Must be me not checking carefully enough then. I've not seen any noticeable opposition to this. It almost seems like a non-story as far as I can tell.
The Tory press which is most of the media want this through on the sly. Mirror and Guardian have been very vocal. Good Law Project and Alistair Campbell have also been sharing things on social media.
