If it's the right thing to do from a public health point of view to protect them, you wouldn't be in your right mind to ignore it. I get that you would feel that way if lawmakers were breaking their own rules for something more trivial, but this can be life or death. Talk about cutting off your own nose to spite your face.
If government can't act in a proper manner or just even act like adults, then the general population need to do it for them. But remember to never ever vote for them again.
I actually don't think they are laughing at us. I just think they feel entitled and so detached they don't see anything wrong!
We won't reach that position again. The media are ramping up even more restrictions coming in for a variant nobody anywhere in the world has died from and nobody is in our hospitals with. If they use an increase in cases of Omicron to tighten restrictions on us people will be taking to the streets and not listening.
You can’t compare the 2, one is in power making decisions ( fekin horrible ones, and done more uturns than a driving school instructor), the other isn’t and never was.
Also to balance it a bit, lots of Tory backbenchers aren't happy about it either, might be because its their jobs at risk or because they didn't get invited , but still
Not for long, have you seen what that lovely Pritti Vacant is pushing through Parliament, They’ll be no legal protesting at all soon
No-one can say that. There's only a relatively small number of cases that are getting genomically sequenced and few infections are advanced enough to have got to that stage yet.
You honestly think he would’ve been the slightest bit corrupt and looked after the those who reside in Offshore Tax Havens and give out dodgy contracts to govt friends and relatives. That he would’ve ripped off and lied to Pensioners and anyone else dependant on the care sector. That he would legislate to make it difficult to even protest in a supposed democracy. Christ I could go on forever here.
History will look back at the 2019 Election and wonder how the country could have been left with a choice between possibly the two politicians who were most unsuited for the job of PM. The fact that Labour put Corbyn before the electorate for a second time was the enabling act that gave Johnson an 80 seat majority, and the ability to act with impunity because of it. Momentum and 'Corbynism' was, and remains, the gift that keeps on giving to the Tory party.
For anyone who voted for this shower of poo, take note of the fact that they are currently passing bills which;- Take away an individual's right to protest. Increasing Police powers of stop and search. Allowing parliament to overrule judicial reviews, effectively putting government outside the law (remember Johnson's proroguing parliament?). There are more but I think you get the drift. Also note that these things were in the manifesto so if this comes as a surprise to you, then you want stringing up because you obviously didn't read it or didn't care enough about our fragile democracy as long as you "got Brexit done".
