How can Robinson be so certain that Kane will still be at Oxford beyond January?
Is there no recall clause or have discussions already taken place and we're happy to leave him where he is?
Given our paucity of midfield options I'd be baffled if we didn't call him back when we could.
Then again, with our lot I wouldn't rule anything out.......

I think he’s the type of midfielder who could only play in a 3-Man midfield

If we get decent money for him and he'd rather be at Oxford and put it towards an experienced midfielder I'd be happy with that. Seems to me that he's not really settled ( unsurprising really given the changes in manager and not being a regular in the first team).

Where do you get tha conclusion from? It's as equally likely that he's loved being away from the spotlight of being a big signing, the pressure, and some personal issues. New lease of life, a break from all of the above, and itching to come back to what will hopefully be a Championship club.

We only need this Herbie Kane back. People are over estimating the value of August's Herbie Kane.

Can’t recall many in August saying they preferred Kane over Benson

Amazing how much better a player seems to our fans when he's gone for a while.

Not sure it's that.. just hoping he's not joining the Malik Wills, Luke Thomas club. Our recruitment as been woeful of late.

Matty james didnt play much under val and never lasted a full 90 when he did. Kane featured quite abit under val and got injured late on in the season. Was hoping he would kick on for us this term but never got a run in the team. Got to be better than what we have seen so far.

To be fair Mallik Wilks looks to be doing OK. I think when you sign development players it is a lottery. Wilks is a player I'm sure we'd love to have now, but he dropped down a division at the time & worked with Grant McCann, who had faith in him. I think Gomes is going to improve massively, but I'm not sure who his partner in midfield should be, if we stick with only 2 in midfield. Palmer has had more stick than he deserves. I think they'd both look better if we played a 3 in midfield. The formation is asking too much of inexperienced players. I think Kane may come back a better player, like Mowatt did. I'm expecting us to be a L1 side next season, if drastic action is not taken in January TBH to put an experienced player in there. We are also reliant on Morris not getting crocked again, he is by a mile our best forward.
