If he thought like the Tories wouldn't he, you know, be in the Tory party?

Oh come on Orsen. It was a tap in that even Dave Regis couldn’t miss. Blackford mauled him. Even William Wragg took him to the cleaners and he’s in the same bloody party!!!

Many things would be better than what we have now, but no one seems to be coming forward to make their 3, 5, 10 year plan known to the general public. I can't believe it's that the media are supressing it, because surely there is a newspaper somewhere that will print it. I think it's more to do with the fact that as no one wants to be the Newcastle manager after the take over, they want to be the manager after that, the same is true of government. No one wants to be the Prime Minister/Government after this one, because they will inherit a massive balls up, they don't want to be fire fighters. They want to be the white knights that lead us into a bright future.

Labour blocked a pretty dire Brexit deal to be fair the fact we untimately finished up with an even worse one isn't really their fault..Forcing a GE at the time they did was particularly dumb.
For most things they have voted against the government - they and many of the public think voting against some of the covid plans from the government may not be a very popular option but thats only one issue

We're likely over 2 years out from a GE. No opposition is going to put out a full plan of what they are going to do so far out. Well, not one that wants a shot at getting elected.

I think Johnson is done for. The EC has just announced a fine for the tory party for failing to accurately report donations, largely relating to the no10 flat refurb which has DePfeffels fingerprints all over it. As well further christmas party breaches including at their HQ.

There will be regime change soon and its that new administration that opposition parties will have to battle. Lay out a plan now, and the best bits will be stolen to steal thunder and the rest will be attacked, discredited or outdated by the time a GE campaign is upon us.

Can they get a donor to pay the fine?

Agree with this, I’m not Starmer’s biggest fan by any means, but his Party has to pull together now and stop the bickering and falling out which all sides are guilty of. I’ve recently read where the Tory’s are plotting a strategy to concentrate on certain shadow cabinet members seats whose majorities are not that great for the next election. So expect a big push on immigration stories etc to fill the Tory front pages.

I don't think we need a full manifesto. Just a clear stance on current issues and either a rebuttal of certain policies or a clear support for them. Where do opposition parties stand on Covid Vaccines/Passports. Where do they stand on the energy cost crisis. Where do they stand on the demise of Barnsley FC.

We just need some joined up thinking from within parties, and possibly cross party to start working on plans for a coalition/minority government in two years time.

It does seem that PMQs have resorted to name calling even more so than usual.
Politics and life in general is so polarised and insubstantial at the moment.

Fair point on the deal, hindsight is wonderful. Forcing a election it was obvious they would lose was just plain dumb.
For a lot of people it's the only issue that matter at the minute.

They've put out a statement saying they are considering an appeal as it was a technicality.

While it may assist in not allowing him to breed again, I'd prefer we didn't have to resort to violence in the House of Commons. However if someone accidentally shot him whilst out grousing or similar, I don't think there'd be much sympathy.

It's a difficult one. But I do believe what you'd be doing is giving the tories a target to aim at. It gives the media a chance to rip you to bits and make you the story and deflect from their shambles.

I don't disagree with you if we were in an honest open ideal world.

But sadly we aren't. Things do feel like they are snowballing and you don't want to deflect from that when sentiment is certainly finally changing.

Not even just once? I don't want government to descend into violence either, but just once I'd like someone to lose it, jump up, scream "You straw haired, privileged string of afterbirth," fly across the chamber and knee him right in the goolies.

I really don't want to think about Boris Johnson snowballing.

Ok, just once. I'd like it to be a member of the Green Party though.

He might but he wouldn't have made the serious errors that the idiot has with the covid crisis or Brexit, surely that's enough reason to vote for anyone but De Ethel and the loonies.
