You could ask him, but he generally ignores questions put to him that he doesn't know the answer to.

Now one of Johnson's many consorts has excreted another heir to deflect attention even more.

It has everything to do with it. Cancelled by the mainstream media, by her own party, and by the general public who lap it up. If this was The Thick of It her resignation would seem ludicrous when the PM walks free. The media hone in on her, that becomes the story, public is 'outraged' and now she is cancelled. You can't deny that really.

Sorry I thought that "cancel-culture" was a jibe directed specifically at the left, such as students banning speakers at their debates with racist views etc, ie denying free speach, I didn't realise that the right were at it too ;)

    No.

She was caught out being a complete ******* and has made the decision to resign. This isn't the first time either - she's a nasty piece of work.

She hasn't been cancelled. That's just a made up expression by people who don't like the consequences of their actions.

Well it’d make perfect sense in a land where ‘cancel’ has an alternative meaning.

Meanwhile to the rest of the world - it really is nonsense. :)

No it is a widespread facet of modern-day society, right, left or centre. It is a sad reflection of our times, when actual debate and reason is quashed in favour of who is right and who is wrong. Unfortunately, with cancel-culture, the 'wrong' is often magnified and exaggerated and to hell with the consequences: boot that person through the door and don't let them speak again. Personally I hate the tories and what they have done to this country, but this country voted for them. I'm not surprised by anything that goes on now, and it isn't shocking any more. Maybe it's because I'm not on social media that I don't get caught up in the hysteria. Humanity, and what is left of it, is on a thread; we are governed locally by this govt and stifled, and internationally by a warped media with an agenda.

If we go by definition i.e. the actual meaning, which the world really should hopefully pay attention to..
'cancel': 'neutralize or negate the force or effect of (another)'
    'negate': 'make ineffective; nullify'

Words used to have much more meaning. Now they are reduced to 280 character attacks on a pathetic online platform.

You should get out a bit. The world is actually full of lovely things and people, it’s not the poisonous nasty aggressive place you’re witnessing from your screen. :)

I get out plenty thanks :) And I do believe in people, and care deeply about people and the things in the world. I don't like the direction of travel however, I don't like how we treat each other on the whole, I don't like how everything is dictated by the media and the government and how it's making people miserable. I call it how I see it. Believe me, my heart is full, but that doesn't mean I'm not affected by the way things are externally, quite the opposite. I wish you well though Donny, and don't wish to get into an argument with you, or anyone else for that matter. I'm a lover not a hater. I'm off out later as it happens, for the weekly 5 a side, wish me well :D
