Did you not read the words where I said I didn’t agree with it? It would be a bigger deal here as it would be the first time ever that a vaccine was made compulsory for a child to attend school. They already have that requirement but I don’t believe this vaccine should be added to the list.

Of course I read it. That's why I haven't suggested you do agree with it?

To say something would be a bigger deal here is fine. But that does suggest, even if unintentionally, that it isn't a big deal there. That's my point. It's a massively divisive issue/mandate and one that is being added to a growing list of what's wrong with the state.

I take no solace in that. I wish I wasn't. I wish I was completely and utterly wrong.

The worst part is nobody cares and it's only worthy of comment as it may slightly inconvenience the entry to a football game.

I wish I was also wrong about this being just the start. That your medical history will dictate where you can go, what you can do and even if you're allowed to work, feed, clothe and house yourself. But I won't be.

The insidious thing is the amount of people in favour of it.

Is anyone really in favour of compulsory vaccinations though? Some may be, but I doubt many really are. I've not seen any polls to suggest otherwise.

Lots seem in favour of restricting people to the point of leaving them no choice if they want to do anything. Some of the comments are down right nasty that I see online, I very sad how divided and angry at each other people have become.

Rule by Fear its a tried and tested approach - usually done with war and a foreign enemy involved but a virus does the job just fine

For anyone interested I'm guessing this is how you get your COVID passport . Just wow is all I can say to that . Imagine somebody of an older nature who's not tech savvy trying to pick the bones out of that .

The English version is rather simpler and takes seconds to obtain.

I remember going to a protest rally about this:
    https://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jul/07/football-soccer-id-cards-hooliganism-archive

Now we've got one that even includes part of your medical history and the only bit people care about is that you may have to turn up 5 or 10 minutes early.

Yowzer! That is poor. It puts far too much responsibility on the individual. Even living in a country widely regarded as over bureaucratic (Italy) the process here was simple (albeit with so many things nowadays you really need access to a smartphone)

We booked our first Covid jab online and when we had it, they automatically gave us an appointment for the second one. We were sent a confirmation email which we had to respond to via simple link. This email also contained details of the 1st jab and a QR code as evidence of 1st jab onscreen and downloadable as a PDF which we printed (I like 'belt and braces' approach with things like this e.g. boarding passes etc. since if my phone died at a critical moment you cant beat a piece of paper in your hand).
After the 2nd jab we were sent the QR code Download as a PDF an the EU covid green pass. No need to apply. The 'new' Super pass has been introduced but the holder of the Green pass does not have to do anything since the reader apps use by bar/restaurant/cinema/club venues has been updated to use the same QR but can now distinguish between single, double or double +booster status.
We went online and booked our booster and it automatically gave a date options as close the (mandatory here) 5 month gap from the second jab. We were able to select dates and a time so we could both attend together and not have to make two separate trips.

PS Slightly resent the need to equate 'older person' with not being 'tech ! Very ageist. There are plenty of people out there of all ages who are not very up to speed with IT and tech. I am 67 going on 68 and very tech savvy thank you very much.
