Is it possible, with those questions, to end up anywhere outside the green quadrant and not be a psychopath?
Apparently the policies of the main parties in the UK have managed it (see above) apart from the Greens and the SDLP. Make of that what you will about our politicians.
Not at all. They might have a point with the authoritarian vs the libertarian, but not with the left and right.
I'd say the opposite, to be honest! A lot of the questions in the quiz dealing with the authoritarian axis seem weirdly old fashioned now. I'm not going to claim the House of Commons is a beacon for liberty, but even there anyone scoring highly socially conservative given the questions is probably going to appear somewhere on the dinosaur/fascist fringes. On the other hand I'd say it was fair to say that until 2017 all three major parties were pretty solidly centre-right economically (witness the austerity one-upmanship after 2008). It would be interesting to see where they'd put Labour in '17 and '19.
I don't approve of missionary. Reverse cowgirl. leaning to the left. In all reality these tests are quite interesting in terms of people's perceived views of themselves, but in practice issue on issue, with a right load of spin on a subject some left leaning libertarians react differently, usually based on some lies being involved. I marched with 2 million people vs our involvement in the Iraq war. Yes, it was a labour Government 'n' all. Where were the other left leaning libertarians? Mostly sabre rattling to George W's tune I'm afraid.
https://www.politicalcompass.org/yourpoliticalcompass?ec=-3.5&soc=-4.87 Most of the questions aren’t exactly borderline cases. I don’t see many respondents outside Texas/Tehran being out of the bottom left.
