    Swaine love batting first regardless of conditions because last thing they want is to bowl a team out cheaply and not have a chance to earn their run bonuses such as Lees who was reportedly on quid a run.

    I think he held on to the captaincy too long and it took it’s toll. If he’d given it up a year or two before he’d still be playing now I reckon. Still clearly loves playing or he would have quit Essex, but international cricket is mentally tough.

    I wasn’t exactly a big hitter as a batsman (more of a nudger). Hoylandswaine was the only ground where I ever hit a six! Enough said…..

    Australia are currently 4/11 to win the test. If we have a decent first ten overs it might go up to 1/2 which is basically printing money.

    Don't care for them at all, they just buy the Huddersfield cricket League every season.
    The sooner Mr money bags ***** off and they drop down the leagues the better. They've deleted their 1st team twitter feed because of all the hassle and criticism they've had!!

    But they didn't the match was lost when Mallan and Root got together. They pulled it back but when the pressure of the situation hit home they had no Bo llocks. It's 5hit being right.

    I didn't Root and Mallan didn't dig in yesterday they scored easy runs. Mallan keeps his place at 3 with eighty odd. All too predictable.
