I travelled up from Salisbury for this, having seen the first game as well. No need to buy tickets so it was a risk that I might not get in but, of course, nobody could have forecast how big the crowd was going to be. All ok though - I took the afternoon off work and was there at least half an hour before kick off and got in easy, pay on the gate. White Hart Lane was three-sided then and we were packed behind one goal. The noise from the "Shelf", down the side, was amazing.

Incredible stat from this game - over 35,000 for a cup tie between an Isthmian League side and a Third Division side. I doubt if that will ever be beaten. Enfield must have set themselves up for life from the proceeds of these two games. There were 24,000 at Oakwell for the first match. Unbelievable figures considering the paltry crowds that attend FA cup games these days.

I had a few years living in Aylesbury, and Princes Risborough of course. Are you still there? Mixed feelings about what was commonly known at the time (2008ish) as "Aylesbekistan". That's not me being racist. It was just like that - High Wycombe the same, to a lesser degree.

Got the 'special' supporters train down from Barnsley to London for the replay. On the way back the police told us to pull the compartment blinds down just in case the train windows were bricked. Happy days.

Went to both games. The walk back to our mini bus after the game was one of the scariest occasions of my football supporting memories, with mentions also for Ayesome Park,Roker Park and Anfield.

Would have drawn 2-2 with today's rules. One goal each disallowed for offside against a non interfering player..I was at the game but couldn't remember the 3 goals ruled out.

If only I'd known that this would be on telly 40 years later, I'd have worn a luminous shirt. I'm there somewhere, halfway along the Brewery Stand. Ah well...

On the plus side, it's always lovely to see Glavin in action again, running with the ball glued to his feet. :)

Wasn't it 30,000+ with one side of the ground demolished?
