Embarrassing naive defending which wouldn’t look out of place in Div 2 and powderpuff attempts on goal it really is abysmal.
The fact that the players aren't good enough for this league, utterly lacking in the required quality and experience, is solely down to the people in charge. Totally malign.
Well that was grim. 5 minutes of injury time in a game we surely had to get something from. And we showed nothing. Never looked like getting an equaliser
Been some poor performances today , no excuses but I think Styles should at the very least look as though he gives a fek imo.
Imho on today....thought we did okayish....but our passing is still poor. We look better than we did but still not good enough for the standard in this league. Every week its effort over experience and we are losing that battle. If / when we sell in jan i reckon the suits may realise we need experience in centre mid and then get someone who is 18 years old on loan. I do believe the board are resigned to relegation and preparing us div one. Thought morris was good today...and as an aside thought preston played like i would like us to......hard press ...tough in the tackle and good experience in the midfield....oh and decent passing.
but many of the same players were good enough to get the play off semis last season. I'm not sitting here defending the club's owners, but some of the performances from our so-called experienced players have been diabolical. and have been for some time.
To them it's not a club it's a business. Players, mangers, fans, the ground, the staff are assets to be sweated. As an investment it can’t go wrong though. A bit of ‘creative accounting’ will sort that out.
Going to Fazzella in town, meeting up with The Albartross, should get a true no holds barred report from him.
If we’re aspiring to how Preston played today then we’re doomed already . They’ll be battling against relegation with us , posh and Derby .
You're absolutely right, apart from the need for invention on their part. It's possibly the worst ever goal I've seen us concede. School teams don't even need to be taught to look out for the bloke running on to the cut back at a free kick (which Mads gave away like an idiot). Hideously embarrassing all round.
I guess we need to consider what is meant by 'experience'. Reaching the playoffs last year, with no crowd pressures, and based upon a set of tactics that Warnock described as "one season only", is increasingly looking like an aberration. So I'm not sure whether that 'experience' applies. No other club in this division, as far as I am aware, pursues the player policies we are having inflicted upon us. Having said all that, my concern is not that we are absolute certs for relegation this season. I'm more concerned about the medium to long-term future of the club.
So disinterested all I could think about when I read that was Nice biscuits. Remember them? I could do a couple now.
