I hope it expires if we do go down because i wouldnt fancy such a negative manager trying to gain promotion from league one.

Seen nothing from him yet to have confidence that the right decision was made offering him the job. As I said after his first game I don't think he will be here at the end of the season.

It dunt matter. He's there to develop players, not trouble himself with such trivialities of results or league position.

Probably should have kept schopp based on that. Just dont think a manager who look so negative is the man for league one.

It was common currency on here less than 2 months ago that we had a squad which were so talented we'd finish mid table at least.

Not confident so far in his tactics , team selection or formations tbh.
Took Cole off last week which bamboozled me , player Oduor in a forward position .
Imo he doesn’t know his best team and the players seem as puzzled as everyone else with team selections and who he drops from the team .

We have to understand that the only reason that they've brought Poya in is to put players in the shop window nothing else.

Don’t see how you can blame him tbh he is doing the best he can with a **** hand,
Who would try to play attacking football with this lot?
We can’t score goals and the defence seem incapable of simple marking duties.

He talks a good game and I think, eventually, it will come good for him.

I hope next season we move away from this formation though. We don’t have the presence to be playing 2 in midfield anymore. If we had someone to play full back I’d be tempted to go with 4-3-3 now but I’m not sure we do.

Wonder if the board would have the gumption to offer the job back to Stendel if we were relegated?

Not doing himself any favours by picking the same players and using the same formations that have failed all season and he basically as a fully fit squad to pick from that i wrongfully thought would have enough about them to get out of trouble how wrong was i.

We now find ourselves in a situation where we’ve presumably had to pay a fair whack to sack Schopp & hire Poya & he seems to have come to the conclusion that Schopp was picking the right system & players & can’t get a tune out of us despite having Morris & Anderson available.

There was no new manager bounce when Schopp got sacked, in fact we got worse for a couple of games. We’re now back on a similar level to what we was under him which isn’t good enough.

We’ve seen no upturn in individual performances. Brittain, Styles, Palmer, Woodrow, Leya Iseka etc all look no better. The only creativity we’ve got is coming from Morris who wasn’t available under Schopp.

My view was that regardless of who was manager we would improve when Morris & Anderson returned so I’m very worried now. I was expecting better performances by now. I genuinely don’t know what the answer is.

I’m still seeing people claim Cole & Hondermarck would make a positive difference to us but I find it hard to believe that two managers are both wrong about them.

I personally think we’re doomed now, before today I still thought we had a chance but I think it’s done now.

There must be some serious questions been asked at boardroom level as to why they’ve sacked one manager & brought another in who seems to want us to play the same way with the same players. It’s baffling me.

I think he'll be on a Morais-type deal, ie if we go down, he'll get the boot with no compo.

I've never before seen a manager take over a bottom of the table team and continue to play the exact formation, tactics and personnel as his predecessor who did so badly. Particularly when there are so many options. Either he has literally no ideas of his own, like not one, or the head coach does not select the team and formation.

When a team has lost as many games as we have and you're new to the role you'd apply your own ideas. If you took over a winning team you'd be reticent to change it, but when taking over a losing side you'd rip up the old plan and start again. He's changed nothing. Of course things haven't improved. If you don't change anything there can't be any improvement.

Either a new head coach has come in, looked at the worst performing club in the professional leagues and decided there doesn't need to be a single change to anything at all, or the head coach coaches the players and someone else selects the team.
