Thanks for the clarification. I was trying to remember what I'd seen on Wikipedia. I should have checked.
I am not expecting him to fix things quickly, but as I outlined in my post, he is not sending out any positive vibes. It just seems more of the same rubbish served up, by the same players from earlier in the season. I just want to see him try something / someone different (and by that I don't mean Oduor up front again).
No i thought 1st half against Huddersfield was good aswell and we had chances the free header by morris the 2 balls that rolled across the 6 yard box that none of the strikers gambled on. But conceded sloppy goals in both games. Like i say early days for poya.
When I watched the highlights, Palmer was jogging behind their guy as he ran towards the goal. Although he had a big part in our goal, I believe that he is going backwards, ability wise.
He has a personality, a determination to succeed and is likeable, Schopp certainly wasn't. He has brought with him a very clever assistant and he is slowly bringing in his style of play and trying to workout what's best for our players. He is interchanging between 523, 541, 343 and 433. I hope he works towards a 4312 with Kitching at left back as that will be his best position and I'm sure that's what he is aiming towards. Oduor part played behind the front two at Preston which was brave and didn't work but he tried it. To come in and drop Sibbick Frieser Moon Benson Cole shows he is strong enough to make big decisions and what is seen in training is being used for selection on match day. He is trying to sure up our defence first and make us more dangerous going forward. I also just want him to do well, I want him to be liked and supported and stay around a bit longer than all the others.
I thought we were in the game and were actually trying to win for the first time under Poya. If he thinks those first few games solidified our defence then he is in cloud cuckoo land. Maybe marking at set pieces is on this weeks to do list it might need to be. Glad to see Morris getting up to speed.
