I for one think it is rather sad that our best slow bowler is not involved in test cricket , Rashid should have 100 caps by now but his treatment in his early career was shambolic , he was nothing more than a drinks carrier & I do not get this stick that Root gets as captain , he has always lead from the front & at the end of the day he has not been helped with some questionable team selections .
**** isn't it. Yet again another selection **** up. Yet again a dropped catch which will prove very costly. Pathetic. I bet the Aussies are loving facing some of this military medium pace bowling!
As I said in another post, lose this test match and let's have them all back home on the first flight out of Adelaide! They'll be back in the UK for Christmas and save us all the embarrassment of a 5-0 whitewash.
I blame the selection, Silverwood has done next to nowt in his time, they ( imho) should have a couple of strong minded selectors and involve the captain but not put too much on him, that way he hasn’t got selection mistakes weighing on his mind when on the field. As it looks so far this team would have been better in the last test and that one in this.
We've missed a massive trick here with the slow over rate. Ideally you want to take the new ball under lights, but we're not going to get the chance tonight now so we'll end up with it in 37c heat tomorrow.
This was caused by not playing Leach in the summer and making him unplayable today. For a team that seems to plan so far in advance they’ve made a right mess of it. Ooooh Warner gone.
I'm not sure he was unplayable. He might've been better for having a test under his belt. But either him or Bess should've been playing today.
