I've been asthmatic for the last 40 + years.....masks make no difference to me.......I'll not say what I think......
An estimated 2.5% of the population have copd according the HSE... 12% are under the age of 11 (and therefore automatically exempt from mask wearing) Around 1% are autistic to some degree As I said, 12% asthmatic. I never said that all asthmatic people can't wear masks but when you look at the amount of people with legitimate reasons, even if only a small amount of those people are to a degree that they can't wear a mask then 90% of people wearing them is bloody good going and it's wrong to make assumptions about the other 10% and to insult them without having a clue what their reasons are.
Not all people are the same. I have 2 children with Autism. When we hoover up one of them has to have ear defenders on the noise literally causes him distress. The other runs around after the hoover and thinks it's brilliant. Many people with Asthma may well be able to wear a mask. Others may not, it's wrong to judge with such a broad brush.
Even when we were allowed to be mask free I wore one in shops.....anxiety with asthma is a different thing. If I go out without my inhaler I have to go home to get it even though I will not (or would not) need it....the fact it's not there.....same with some asthmatics and masks.
Doesn't really address my point. You are not all asthmatics. I assume asthma is listed as a potential exemption for a reason.
