Two short films i never fail to watch leading up to christmas Laughing Gravy (Laurel & Hardy) &Charley Brown Christmas.
Really good film, but we have just watched for the 6th time The Polar Express Brilliant film and it’s always guaranteed to make the wife cry soft bugger
Mmm - Scrooged (Bill Murry), the Americans just had to go and take a classic Victorian set tale and absolutely screw it up, leaves a bad taste in my mouth - and just as bad was 2010's version set in modern London, starring Ross Kemp as a loan shark, very bad indeed. Yep, give me Alistair Sim's any day (or Jean-Luc Picard, er sorry, Patrick Stewart's)
What!!!! When he gives up his own honeymoon money to save the loan co? When he makes the druggist cry when he was a little boy? When he screams at his uncle cos he doesn't want to go to jail? When he squeezes his kid when he gets back home cos he's brickin it? That film has me welling up every time and I'm a real macho man. You must be a puff!!! Tsk!
Nice bloke gets fed up. Thinks the unthinkable. Dunt do it. Goes home. Perhaps we should have a new thread on this sort of thing!
