Ah, so we wait 10-20 years before getting a regular covid jab then? Nah, on balance, I'd rather not risk it.
You do realise they've been working on this type of vaccine for the last 10 years, inspired by SARS and MERS. It just needed an extra shove over the line.
I know enough about the process and how it's been developed. They don't know how covid will mutate. They don't have a vaccine that's stops transmission or stops you getting it. If your think it's feasible to vaccinate the entire UK 3 or 4 times a year........ I've had all 3 that's available. I see no point in just keep having it. It's the same vaccine. I would have thought by now they might have introduced something different. Like the different flu strains. They haven't We just gunna keep going round in circles or they gunna do a new one? Edit.... And just so you know, I'm on the list of people classed as clinical extremely vulnerable, so I've taken a very keen interest on everything on this virus
Explain to me why young and healthy people should have a vaccine that we have no idea of the long term effects of, shoved into their bodies? We’re vaccinating a planet here, we’re already seeing the rise in blood diseases, clots and heart problems. Nothing to do with the jab? Course not. Young people do not need a vaccine. 99.91% survival rate. That is all. Pathetic.
It would take 100 days for Pfizer to produce and ship a vaccine to target the Omicron variant. All the vaccine makers are updating their vaccines, but it needs to be feasible to mass produce it. Omicron is ripping through populations so quick, the threat from it will be over by the time a new vaccine is ready to roll out.
To be fair all he said was the video is interesting and gave a very brief synopsis. I'd argue it's not very interesting. "You don't have to be Einstein" and "You don't have to be a rocket scientist" were both used before a conclusion was made that could not be concluded from the evidence submitted. I think the subject is interesting though, as is this article that rightly concludes there is no evidence that Covid vaccines are causing players to collapse. https://www.reuters.com/article/factcheck-coronavirus-sport-idUSL1N2SK160 Within is the suggestion that research is needed to establish firstly if the numbers of young athletes collapsing has actually increased (I suspect it hasn't) but if it has to establish if either Covid-19 itself or the vaccine is the cause. “I haven’t seen any data or papers connecting the dots to support this type of assertion, so I’d classify it as a hypothesis driven by anecdotal reports that are definitely worth following up on, but seems way premature to begin spreading the notion that it is the truth that these are driven by vaccination.” As I say, I found the subject interesting and although there probably isn't anything in it, I think young people collapsing is serious enough to trigger research so we can be sure that's not the cause and, if not, possibly find something else that is a trigger. Matt Le Tissier isn't someone from whom I'd take vaccine advice but I have no problem with him highlighting issues he's concerned about even if I'd prefer to then read the meat of the subject elsewhere.
No, not at all. I'm just pointing out that if has as been noted above, that it takes 100 days for a new version.... Where are they? We are 2 years in and still the same vaccines. That's what I'm trying to point out. Yes we have now got tablets. But that's for treating not prevention. All we are being served on mainstream media is a complete meltdown of increasing rates etc. Where is the reporting on what these pharma companies are doing and researching. A bit of hope rather than us all sat with a rope around our necks waiting for the government to pull the inevitable trigger. I'm just frustrated, on the verge of boiling over seeing the same **** each day. Doom, gloom and seeing various fractions daring the government to lock us all up again. Where's the positive news....
I know someone involved in football (not at Barnsley currently) & he says the argument that players are concerned about what they take is (for the majority) nonsense. Most just take anything they’re given by the medical team whether that’s as simple as vitamin tablets or other substances to treat injuries. Players turn up to international duty & they don’t have a clue what they’ve taken when asked by the international medical team. They often have to contact the club staff to find out. It’s all social media scaremongering. They never normally ask or care what they take. You only have to look at stories of Guardiola sending players to Barcelona or Klopp sending players to Germany or others going for treatment in Eastern Europe to know it’s nonsense. They’ll take or do anything if it gets them back on the pitch quicker.
But we know that being vaccinated does cut spread, so, it's more about protecting those who are not fit and young and have a 99.91% survival rate. Also, 0.09% do not survive which is a small number, but there were 14,381,606.00 people between the age of 18 and 34 in the UK in the 2011 census (more now) - which means that statistically speaking that's 12,943 dead.
the reason you have a flu jab every year is because Flu mutates and the vaccine with it. So In reality each jab is less than 2 years old.
That varies on which studies you choose to believe, there’s mass debate about this in the scientific community. Also pumping a vaccine we know nothing about into our bodies for someone else’s sake is so wrong, so so so wrong. I’m not antivax, I’m just saying young people are more aware and most likely to face the potential effects of this vaccine. I fully understand someone with a weakened immune system wishing to have the vaccine, fair play. However, no one on this planet will convince me otherwise that young people should have a vaccine that the world and the scientists know nothing about. It’s absolutely ludicrous. Also, death figures from the year previous only went up by 601 people. Not to mention the fact covid was being put on death certificates not because they had tested positive for it, but because there’s a chance they might have had it. It’s corrupt and it’s wrong.
