Gotta chuckle, if there was a transfer fee this thread would be full of cashing in and taking the money comments, instead they are criticised for not doing that.
Good luck to him - always gave his best, but I didn't particularly rate him. Weird how we let him flog all his belongings before wishing him all the best though.
A great bloke, down-to-earth, had plenty of fun with him the last couple of years and I was sad to say goodbye to him yesterday. All the best to him and his family back closer to home.
thought he was going to be the new Adam Hammill when he arrived, sadly not ,he did have a longish throw though, unlike Adam who I never saw take a throw
If ever there was a stat to sum up our season it's the fact that releasing him has halved the number of players in the squad who have scored a winning goal for Barnsley this season. Best wishes Dom, who always gave 100% when wearing the shirt.
To be fair, I'm not sure Frieser was ever a player that was going to be sold on for any profit or breakeven figure, given he only signed a two year deal.
Right move for player and club. He certainly contributed well to our play-off season. Good luck to him.
he is a good lad, giving his stuff away to folk before he goes back to AUSTRIA even offering to dismantle it for them
Every crystallised loss negates any future profits. To make progress we therefore have to generate even more just to offset all these losses that keep ratcheting up.
I am not sure we lost on him if you consider we got a return for our investment on the pitch with his useful contributions last season when we got to the play offs
Thanks Dom for your efforts mate. Not the most gifted player but always put a shift in for the cause. Hope this frees up some cash for an incoming player.....but i very much doubt it.
It suggests to me that the owners are putting some of their own money in. Otherwise where is the money for all these handshakes coming from?
