    Almost 300kg of items was collected by Reds in the Community on Friday evening, along with over £1,600 raised online.

    Well done! Both Liverpool and Everton have a foodbank collection point at every home game. Briliant gesture but really sad we have to do this in a first world country

    Just Eat fast food delivery drivers in Sheffield began a week of strike action from Monday against a 25 percent cut in pay from £4.50 to £3.40 for most deliveries, imposed by subcontractor, Stuart.

    This is a savage attack on workers already earning less than the minimum wage. The workers are members of the Independent Workers Union of Great Britain (IWGB).

    In taking strike action the couriers in Sheffield are taking a stand against the dictates of both Just Eat (with over 450,000 delivery riders) and Stuart, which is part of the transnational DPD Group with (with at least 48,000 employees)

    Bear in mind they have been delivering food to the vulnerable. Do not get paid waiting time. ( at the restaurant preparing the food) Which could be 30mins +

    Only going to be more people using these foodbanks in england unfortunately with the cost of everything rocketing fuel,food,rent to many buying a house is a pipe dream with the cost of homes rising and the deposits needed in comparison with the 90s. Sad times.
