Ah I see - you mean you have no explanation as to why you posted that in response to my comment so now you'll be all vague to make it look like you were making a clever point.

Then you'll post a link to someone talking absolute nonsense as if that's what I was referring to.

I would like to thank @leythtyke for actually reading what i said and supplying me with examples of exactly what i was asking for from the BBC article in a different section of the BBC site

It feels very much to me Jimmy as you are so angry (and rightly so) about much of the nonsense that's is being thrown about by people that you are jumping on anyone who actually just wants a reasonable discussion.

No, from whoever wrote the article, taking the government's reasoning and seeing if it bares merit agaisnt the facts.

I take it you don't watch GMB, This Morning etc. They regularly undermine the restrictions and give air time to contributors with unhelpful views, annoying those of us who want public compliance for everyone's safety.

Doesn’t GMB regularly host Doctor Hilary, and his Fauci like flip flopping views, that in 2021 support your own? He’s the biggest supporter of everything happening and would encourage more - whilst quoting incorrect facts and data.

I love that any other view to your own is unhelpful, and you then suggest that anyone with a different view doesn’t want public safety. What’s the view like on that pedestal of yours?

You have to remember. Us plebs that disagree with them have been radicalised by the internet and emotive language against us is just a one way street.

Something else that needs taking into account is PCR test results being four or five days behind.

You want to go on The Sheffield Forum and follow their Covid discussion...there are dingbats on there quite happily saying the Illuminati are to blame.

I don't like Dr Hilary, Dr Amir Khan talks a lot more sense.

Its always nice to see people taking a rational, common sense approach to situations like this.

Look I dont mind folk disagreeing with certain parts of the past 18 months. However I've lost colleagues to this virus, my own health has been affected by it.
Making jokes about people's fears isn't good, and I won't accept this ****.
Some feel we shouldn't have restrictive measures, I get it, but dont joke about it because certain output meets your own viewpoint.
Folk are mad with the government for their shenanigans whilst lockdown was in place, they lost loved ones whilst wine and cheese was devoured and rules broken.
Christmas is a few days away, and I know of 12 kids without their Mum's and Dad's.

To add, the people lost were under my regional command. Some in the 1st wave and some prior to the vaccine early this year. I've posted presents, for what it's worth. Not like I can bring em back.
The last 18 months have nailed me emotionally so I won't be joining in making jokes about folk who are scared.

All who lost their lives barring 1 didn't have any underlying medical conditions. My command have lost 11 staff to front line duties, aged between 24 and 54. All still dealing with post covid related illness. One ran marathons, 1 played rugby, another played football twice to 3 times a week. We also lost a female (to normal duties) who did Triathlons.

If anyone dares say they were unfit or had undiagnosed ill health, go **** yourselves. We have yearly medical checks, all were given the all clear in 2019.

When the front line public services collapse who will pick up the pieces? Bring back retired staff?

Not shared this info, but had to unload and let folk know why on occasion I might lose my cool.

Agree with this and I won't let it slide either.

To take the piss in this manner is out of order, low and snide. By all means people have differing view points - that's life. And whatever side of the fence your on is your prerogative.

But to Redstone? **** you for your post. People who have lost loved ones don't need to read that ****.

It was not my intention to upset anyone and I regret the fact that i have. I think the point of the content is that some people have reached incredible levels of fear that are not particularly rational if you compare them to all aspects of threat in one's daily life.

However I can see how my comment that went with it would upset people. For that I apologise unreservedly.
