1 2 3 4 Root 5 Stokes 6 7 Foakes (play a proper gloveman) 8 Robinson 9 10 11 Wood (fitness/injuries an issue) Feel free to fill in the blanks.
Stick with Malan. Not entirely convinced Foakes is the answer. His batting form for Surrey has been very poor recently.
Maybe. But him and silverwood need to ask themselves why so many batters are actually getting worse once they get into the England test setup.
https://www.smh.com.au/sport/cricke...vid-case-in-family-group-20211227-p59ka7.html Not a good look. We made a fuss about needing family there for Christmas, Australia accommodated it and then it was a family member not a player that could have jepodised the rest of the test tour costing the ECB millions.
Look how empty the crowd is by Ashes MCG standards. They could have saved some space if they had shut a stand and moved the stewards elsewhere.
I dpnt think Buttler or Bairstow are the futire of England test cricket wicketkeeping. Best suited to imited overs.
