    Was there mate. we were also sat in their south stand. Not sure why, unless it was given over to us. But I don't remember it full of us lot. ( the section near leppings lane end.) I was on crutches. ad ev whacked em with them lol. Glad to know we'd have support. Lol.

    So sorry to read about your news Tyke_67.

    loved the Anfield story but not as much as hearing how you turned him Into a Red! Isn’t it meant to be the other way around?!?

    My sons been harassing me to take him to Blackburn as it’s a new ground for him. I’ve been umming and ahhing, but sod it, we’re going now, you and your dad have inspired me! We only get one crack at it don’t we?

    I'm really sorry to hear that.
    I wrote a reply to your post earlier today saying 'at least you have funny stories' but it didn't sound right and I changed it to ' I hope you find comfort in your stories' and that didn't sound right either so I changed it again and again. At the end of the day they reason they don't sound right is that they won't really help you, you've lost your dad and that's awful so all I can say is you have my sympathy and best wishes for you and the rest of your family

    sounds like you had a Dad like me, a total hero. Mine passed in 1995, there is not a day since then that I have not thought of him. He too took me to Oakwell for my first game in 61.... I was smitten.My hurt has not healed but it has just easier to bear. I give you thought that an old friend of his said to me . " would yor Dad everhave done anything hurt or harm you in his living years".... "no" I replied ... "well" he said " he would like to hurt or harm you on his passing" he told me to try to not grieve but to remember all the good times, all the happy moments, this has helped me over the years. My Dad also passed at the Christmas period . I urge you think of him as the very special and great man he was and still is.. And remember he will never leave you not as long as you draw breath... Be strong T67, he would be proud of you for that. My condolences go to you and all your kin. My heart, prayers and love are with you all .
