    We could really do with a veteran, calm, Austrian defender, probably with a surname starting with S. It would be awful if we let a player like that slip through our fingers.

    We had Matty James, who is exactly what we need but we were told that we were ok in midfield and has the emergence of Palmer and Kane meant we had enough.

    This. Our midfield is woeful. We've not come close to replacing Mowatt. Absolutely nothing to do with experience, all about quality, or lack of.

    Think you need at least one experienced player in defence, midfield and forwards. And if you haven't got that then get an experienced manager at least!

    We finished in the play-offs last season with this side, plus two players, one of which had no 'experience' at this level, and barely any in professional football. Quality trumps experience. We lack both.
