I know it's 6 games in, and I know I'll get pelters for this. No problem with that. IMO he's little to no improvement on what we just got rid of. 3 points from 18, 0% win ratio, but more importantly, almost zero change on the pitch. I didn't expect to see wins overnight, but I did expect to see change. If only to come out and make a statement that big changes were needed, and he was the man to do it. So far I've seen next to fk all. I personally don't think we'll hit 35 points. I think we'll go down bottom, conceding a 21 point start, having finished 5th only 9 months ago.
I see nothing in him. Too dour. Too defensive. We aren’t good enough defensively to try to pinch 1 nil leads. No better than MS.
Let’s not forget he did get sacked in his last club job. Yet head coach replaced and results remain the same. Must be the players now.
Poya like his predecessors will be judged on results. For me, if we're relegated (99% certain we will at this stage) without any fight and break the record low points total of 23 then he should go straight away. If we put up a fight and its close then possibly give him the start of next season but ultimately he will have still failed.
It's certainly a worry that we need to win games and he looks frightened to set us up on the front foot to do it.
The latest in our owners ‘scapegoats’, l’d be very surprised if Poya has any say in the team choice, he’s just there to be blamed!
He’s just as bad as Schopp from what I’ve seen so far. Just a bit more defensive minded. Our threat going forward is non existent. Said it many times, we were crying out for a British coach that knows the EFL not some kids coach from bloody Sweden.
We'll very rarely score more than once in a match, and very rarely keep a clean sheet. Put both of those things together and you realise we're utterly ******, and barring some statistical variance will go down with less than a whimper.
when he came in I thought we had a chance, just based on the points gap, games remaining and a player boost. now I think we have no chance, based on a bigger gap, fewer games, but most importantly, the fact that we're playing no better than under schopp. it's really difficult for me to work out why they would replace him with someone who essentially carries on as we were.
if that's genuinely the case, he should have showed some professional integrity as a coach and rejected the job when he was offered it
yeah I'm not having that. as far as I'm concerned he's 100% accountable for coaching the squad. if he isn't, then he shouldn't have taken the job.
Worst start by a new manager since 1971 lowest number of points at this stage of the season since 1899
Money mate. I totally get where you're coming from, but what integrity is there in football these days (from both players and coaches)? If he keeps us up he will be off in the summer wiht his reputation greatly enhanced. If we go down he will say it was already a lost cause when he joined.
