Gotta admit, before this season I didn't see anything worth writing home about. Given I don't watch other teams games I also have no idea how he's become such a revelation, but 20 goals before the turn of the year is something special. Right return on this! <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/reluctantnicko?ref_src=twsrc^tfw">@reluctantnicko</a> Diaz Diaz Diaz some money being sent to people tonight Alan <a href="https://t.co/YPr6yKP75N">pic.twitter.com/YPr6yKP75N</a></p>— Ian (@FrontlinePCVLTD) <a href="">December 29, 2021</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Really not that good. And yet he’s scored more than our entire “team”. Dreadful miss at the end. Miskicked before his goal when Moon just stood off him and allowed him a second chance to control it then whack it. In the words of the philosopher Hansen “terrible defending”
Thought he wasn't that dangerous until Helik, who'd played him well, went off. When Moon came on he was a different player, it was like he thought it was Christmas all of a sudden......
He's only 22 years old, and has been given time to develop in a squad that has had plenty of experience in it. The likes of Nyambe, Buckley, Brereton, Travis have developed over the last two or three years alongside the likes of Graham, Dack, Johnson, Downing, Mulgrew etc... To the point where they now have team that's not too dissimilar to us in terms of average age, but much more experience in terms of games played. Of course, they have spent fortunes in getting to this point, but there is a lesson to our board in what's needed to develop players at this level.
