Me and the good lady are relocating to Italy next year so I was never going to renew. However, I was considering buying one to put coffers into the club, but I am now not so sure
No,first time in 20 odd years but will still support my Team and our Towns team as l have since 1962. The Club belongs to the supporters not these business men to make money.
Will depend on the price & how we finish the season. At the moment being a Barnsley fan is not helping me with my battle against chronic depression & I'm trying to do an audit & get a plan together to overcome my mental health problems. I have to say, other than seeing a few friends & my brother & nephew at a few games this season has been the most dpressing since I stated watching in 1974/75. I think we all were realistic that the heights of last season would not happen again. Mid table, OK. We are the worst team in the league buy a country mile. Conway's summer signings of players, manager, etc. TBH might try taking up other hobbies for a bit, as there is no match day experience. It was actually better in the 70's TBH.
At the minute no, owners go, vouchers sorted, decent Jan window and players trying even in defeat may change my mind! It has become a chore I now relish postponements, international breaks or when we are away, never ever felt like this before and it is not just results, the match day experience that was promised is worse than ever.
Work wise I will be splitting my time between Scotland and Birmingham so can’t see it under the current regime.
If we go down with a fight, then yes, but another five months of this and I'm out. The golf course beckons....
No up until now I've always bought one regardless of knowing how many games I will miss due to work and holidays. We own a static caravan and I think I'll be making more use of that next year.
I'll not be bothering. I don't mind supporting a small club, which generally returns crap results, so long as the people running it, are doing their best to make the club, and team, as good as it can be. If we lose to a financially-doped club, which already has three times our support, it doesn't affect my attendance. Give it your best shot - manager, players, owners - and if you're not good enough, fine. Basically, I long for the days of Dennis, or Cryne. It wasn't always wonderful, but when it wasn't, there were reasons for that other than them seeing the club as an ATM. I could be assured of the best efforts of the people at the top, and so I could forgive the seasons of struggle. No longer, sadly, am I as forgiving.
Yes because I'm on a deal whereby I get a discount until I'm 65. If I don't, I lose the discount should I want one when we're worth watching again.
Not unless the £750k is restored to the club. I've already stopped spending anything further until that happens. Where we finish this season is irrelevant to the decision. I refuse to invest anything further into a company where those funds are at risk of being used by the ownership for their own, rather than the club's, benefit. We know of one such transaction to date. Time will tell if there are more to follow. I've had a season ticket since 1995, but this one will be the last under this ownership. I'll return when the 80% group are no longer in charge, whenever that may be. Gut feel is it will be after we've been through another administration process.
No. The only way these tossers will get the message is if folk stay away & stop giving money to the club.
Not for me. My family might be. during the lockdown I missed not spending time with my family at the football and couldn’t wait to get back. But since we have been back it has been worse than ever. I have never disliked the match day experience as much as this season. I can’t justify spending my money on somthing I don’t enjoy anymore. As things stand I will probably just go for beers in the pub before and meet them after for a pint if they keep their tickets. I will focus more on away days again. There’s also all the other issues off field and away from the match day experience that the owners should really address for fans to want to line their pockets further.
