I think if you actually look at the whole picture you'd see that we've never been in a worse situation. Team is a shambles. Owners are invisible leeches. Stadium/matchday "eXPeRieNCe" is a joke. CEO has about as much business acumen and charisma as a nematode worm. Even during administration I could see light at the end of the tunnel. At the minute, it's just a soul-sucking void. And that isn't an exaggeration.
This is my position exactly. I refuse to fund, in any way, their acquisition of the club. I don’t ask anyone else to pay for the things I buy, and neither should they. I also agree with your comment regarding Administration.
At this rate i wont even be picking up a free fixture list until these jokers do us a favour and bog off
I totally get the anger, but equally, if no one renewed it's highly possible there wouldn't be a club to support. I just want everyone voting with their feet to acknowledge what that could ultimately mean
fair dos. genuinely not a judgement. totally get why people are deciding not to renew. I just worry what the outcome of that might be
No. As long as these Owners are here. If they had any regard for the Club or the Supporters they would follow through on their ‘promise’ and leave. If they did I’d buy 4 Season tickets, a box and 2 new players.
There's no money to be made in us going under. Our parasitic owners will sell up before that happens.
I already said that I expect administration to be the route via which these owners exit. I think there's a minimal chance that we wouldn't come out of administration as a functioning football club. My biggest concern is that this lot would try to re-purchase it out of administration, but that would involve them spending their own money.
Hell no. Can’t fund a project that doesn’t support the ideals I’ve always had supporting Barnsley. Never been the best team but always given teams a game. We don’t anymore.
I think I have the same problem. Next season would be full price but after that I get the OAP price as long as the rules aren’t changed. Still a long way to go before I decide and it could well depend on the West Stand as there will undoubtedly be a commercial case for closing it next season as I expect ST sales to be around 40% down on this seasons unless something drastic changes
Also, don't forget that when the funds eventually dry up the first, and most significant, shortfall will have been the £750k that the 80% shareholders used to repay their own debt. Our individual contributions to the issue will be negligible in comparison.
I don't hate anyone on here, just giving reasons as to why I won't be spending another penny on the club. Sorry if it sounded like I was telling you how to spend your money, not my intention. It's not what I want but it's what I feel I should do, unfortunately.
