I reckon they want this so they can get a loan against the land (remember they got that big loan whilst at Nice with a ridiculous clause of it having to be repaid within a short amount of time if they fell below x position in the league)

if the law has been changed to include the female line surely it cant be applied retrospectivly and would only apply to any document signed after that date

Once the last grandchild dies, who can enforce it during the ensuing 25 years? Could it be that we are in that time period and an inheritor in Mrs Senior’s line (great niece/nephew etc.) is trying to enforce it but it’s unclear if only Mr Senior’s side of the family can?

If they wish to put debt in to the club where they are the lender they do not need to have any security. Only if they were looking for external finance would they need some element of security, unlikely they could put unsecured debt in to a loss making entity. If you recall they put in a debt facility a couple of years ago, this had a floating charge across the club.

The covenant was for the benefit of Mr C, Mr A was not seeking to burden C's land. 2 people who own different bits of land absolutely can agree a restrictive covenant between themselves.

That was the Crystal Skull covenant. We raided The Lost Arc to find the other covenant and as a result it appears the Temple of Oakwell is doomed. It could be Conway's last Crusade.

Can you own something like a football club if you don't pay for it?

So if the owners decided to move us to Share with Rotherham etc like they have threatened to do. Would that mean if there was a remaining Senior grandchild they could buy the land back and we’d never be able to return??

If you listen to the lyrics Black Magic seems to be a really catchy pop song about date rape.

This saga just proves to me that Conway and Co haven't got great motives when it comes to the ground and stadium otherwise the covenant wouldn't matter.

There’s no excuse for me from the owners .
The lands been bought and sold for years and it’s been built on for years without any problems .
If the covenant forbids anything to do with BFC then that shouldn’t worry the owners .
They can own and build the land to further BFC and it’s worth .
The only possible problem for them imo is if they don’t intend to use it for BFC and in that case they can sod off .

Can they do that just for the 80% or would JC have had to agree too?
