as before, does cl own 80% of 50% ( therefore an actual 40% of the club in real terms) and jc own 20% of 50% (10% in real terms) and the council own the remaining other 50%. . . . sounds like an only connect question doesnt it ?
Ground is 50/50 between JC and Council Club is 20% JC and split between rest of consortium for the remaining 80 (chien largest holder). We don't quite know the split of the 80. But someone said chein couldn't hold more than 50 otherwise it has to be declared somewhere within accounts. So we know it's less than 50 but more than 20 as he was named on some form of listing To that effect anyway
Same happened with us. When we moved we needed two indemnity policies on the house we were selling and two on the one we were buying. Just another rip off really. as the policy is cheap but the broker gets the majority of the cost.
Not sure this bit is right? Thought the Investment company own 80% which is shown on companies house as 75% or more. It is impossible to get clarity on the Investment company as it’s registered overseas with very little access.
I'm pointing out individuals. The investment company is 100 percent of the club. Which is split 80\20 per my diagramme I'm sure someone on here pointed out (won't name names) that if one single entity owned more than 50 percent they had to be named Either way, it's why I grouped all the 80 percenters together, cos nobody knows the breakdown of that particular portion
Not sure if I’m being thick, but your explanation to me reads as you are saying the Investment side the Crynes own 20%? That’s not correct they own 20% of the club and the Investment own the other 80(as confirmed on Companies House). Nobody knows what the breakdown of the Investment side is as it’s registered in Hong Kong. edit: I must be being thick as Archerfield & Sherriff have confirmed your version.
@nezbfc is absolutely correct, the diagram is a work of art, well done mate. The one tiny error is that Billy Beane is not a Director of Bfc Investments.
Ok, thanks, it still doesn’t read like that to me (not the diagram),but I accept you will be more knowledgable than me on the subject.
The investment company owns 100% of the shares of BFC Limited. The Crynes hold 20% of the shares in the investment company and the PMG consortium hold the other 80%, the split of which between them is not publicly available.
Ooh, this is getting tasty now. It's like the 80s all over again, when I used to watch Dallas, and JR lost control of Ewing Oil. How anyone can call this thread boring is beyond me. It's not yet had a cliffhanger ending, but give it time...
Cheers pal. I thought I was going daft an not had it right lol Billy is an investor though right?, maybe not a director?
Billy Beane doesn’t have anything to do with Barnsley FC these days. No investment or title (to my best knowledge)
Does that mean he's transferred his initial stake to someone else? I think he had a minority shareholding in the investment company at the time of the takeover.
I was extremely bored last night and went on the Hong Kong equivalent of Companies House. In the first instance it’s quite a good money maker, every time you want to view anything there is a charge but thankfully relatively small. What I managed to find out, which isn’t that interesting is that: Bfc Investment Company Limited was set up in Hong Kong in June 2017, approximately 6 months before the deal went through. The issued share capital is £10m, this confirms what we already know that Oakwell Holdings investment of £2m is the 20% holding in Bfc Investment Company Limited. There are five Directors, Paul Conway, Chien Lee, Grace Hung, James Cryne and Neerav Parekh None of this earth shattering but as far as I could get off publicly available information.
