I have no idea if this facebook group is genuine or worthwhile or worth joining or cohesive or well thought out or anything about them. I haven't looked, the only thing I know about them is the OP sold them really well, which will mean tomorrow I'll try to see what they're about, but as I don't have a facebook account I may not be able to. But they were dismissed, by the same people who dismiss everything, the same people who rubbish anything that anyone does. And yeah, there's a lot of nonsense in this world, but not everything is, there are genuine people too, and we should hear what they say before we dismiss them. I don't like our owners, for reasons that I could fill a 100,000 word essay, and even having said that I know a lot of the criticism they receive is not valid. But there are a lot of Barnsley fans out there who are much more passionate than me, who express themselves better than I do, and who are worth listening to, and for this BBS to dismiss them so readily without a second of thought depresses me so much.
Barnsley football club paid £750k to Oakwell holdings on behalf of BFC investments. A debt of £750k was then payable to Barnsley football club from BFC investments. This was subsequently written off. Oakwell holdings received £750k. The 80% group using the football club’s cash to pay their agreed deferred purchase instalment.
Totally agree. People have invested in the club for decades and have been treated like utter **** of late. I find it offensive when certain posters go out of their way to defend them. "What's the alternative?" isn't a credible standpoint to have. They haven't invested a penny into the club yet have taken out of it, so why would you or I be any worse given that?
As I said earlier, I want all the board out, 80%ers and 20%ers alike. But the question of who comes next is a valid one and worth discussing. Having said that, people's entire arguments shouldn't rest on that singular point.
Agreed. I'm the the clean sweep camp. The whole lot out Where we go from it I don't know And I'm gunna pop over to the Facebook group, see what's what. Jay has made an extremely valid point here
For those of you whose only argument is 'What's the alternative?' as @TitusMagee so eloquently put: Keep your bloody mouth shut for a while and allow those with a hell of a lot more imagination, passion and get up and go to deliver that alternative. And stop trying to stifle them. I don't claim to be one of those people, but I'm willing to listen to them. How are you hurting anyone by listening to them rather than doing your upmost to keep the status quo?
I’ve joined the page Jay and from what I can see most of the posts are like being on here, where some raise some genuine points and some not so. What is clear though is everyone on there are wanting the board out and it comes across to me that the guy who seems to be the organiser is trying to achieve some thing rather than just talk. He doesn’t come across as a rabble rousing fantasist and is open to ideas. I’m sure it won’t change the world, but it might be the start of something. I’d end by echoing something on there, some posters have gone on there calling this site out and people on here, but to its credit they have asked for people not to do this and this is a time for people to unite.
Not one of life's joiners but enough is enough so I've just jumped on board. If nothing else if enough people join it may just get the board to take the fans anger at them and distrust of them a bit more seriously. I've had enough of the but Wigan but Bolton but Bury brigade because I think if the board keeping running the club in the way they are Barnsley FC will end up as the next basket case club because I don't think the board have got the money to sustain a lengthy spell in L1 or god forbid L2. This window will show if the board care one jot about league position if they sell the saleable assets and replace them with another load of untried untested kids that other clubs don't want then they are potentially condemning the club to a very lengthy stay below championship level. So instead of bitching about it on here let's try and get something done about it. Uredssssssssssssss
I'm not going to stand against anyone now who want to force out the owners, the coach, Woodrow, Benson etc but neither am i going to stand with them. Get on with it. Im certainly no happy clapper or supporter of Conway and crew but what a selection of supporters and members on here are doing is not saving our club, they are making worse what already is a bad situation. My opinion whether you agree or not is just as important as anyone elses. As usual the vocal majority wiĺl get their way to try to deliver the alternative, the toxic bile that gets spouted by some supporters in place of reasoned discission makes me feel sick and the fans who dont wamt to jump on the bandwagon and dont agree with the hysterical everyone out group shouldn't be criticised or spoken down to for their point of view. I for one won't put up with it or accept it. Conway out, good no problem as long as the alternative is a better option, if it isnt and our club ends up spiralling even further down then thanks, well done. Last season when we were winning no issues this season poor first half of the season and we are baying for blood thats being a narrow back xxxxxxxx.
Picked the wrong person to quote there mate, because yes, there was a problem, and yes, I expressed it, so don't come with that rubbish.
Think this Jan will be key for a lot of people. If they either sell or even just don’t invest there will be an upswell of emotions and people joining and the group should start to see some traction. In that regard it’s the perfect timing for the creation of the group.

I picked out certain comments from your post that others had also quoted to make my point to a larger group otherwise i would have replied directly to you, which i didnt. Not sure what rubbish i have posted i have expressed my point of view which is valid and I am free to do so and i will keep doing so, I'll try not to use any of the same terminology as you in the future if that helps.
Not being funny, but in May you were waxing lyrical about how much you loved the club and how amazing they'd been with supporters. I know you're going to come at me all guns blazing for this (because that's what you do), but I thought in the interest of fairness it was worth pointing out:
