They might not. Luckily they don't own the ground, go into administration and they'd get nothing. If there's a groundswell of opposition to their ownership they may be prepared to cut their losses and find a buyer at less than their purchase price.
I have no issues with fans who have the complete opposite view to me with regards to the owners and how the club is run. However, I can only do what I believe is the right and proper thing to do.
4th round of Cup. Maybe would give Rugby League another go, football and the way its played in the top flight bores me to death.
Whats the protest? Is it for Lee to replace Conway with someone else? Is it the CEO out? Is it Lee out? Is it Lee and Conway out? Is it we want more money? Is it Poya out? Is it Benson out? Is it everyone out? Is it Whitey out? Who do we want in? We want Warnock We want warnock? I need to practice my chant and make my banner.
I just want our owners to run us a football club. If they can't or won't do that well to someone else
Cant see it, they may sell everything they can to get as much money back and then walk away with what they could get, they havent got a big old run down stadium to sell holding them back.
Well how would we be any worse off? You're over exaggerating the state of the stadium in any case, any new owners could rent it at a reasonable price or buy it and develop it, like they had the option to. You know that little thing called investment.
We want our club back? May at least bring a response or even a quote of how much they want. But then not quite sure on the depth of this opinion.
Dont know many people who will put millions in to take nothing out or lose what they have put in. Better putting your money on red or black more chance of winning. There is though the prestige of being the owner of BFC and sitting in the executive box in the West stand thats worth losing millions for.
Maybe they'll be desperate for funds to put elsewhere and would settle for less. Who knows but they're not here for the long haul in any case.
I agree on the widest bit. I've found the turnstiles at the west stand are getting smaller each year.
No way I’d go and watch another club. Sure, there are teams I don’t mind and one that I have a slight soft spot for (place of birth) but nothing comes even remotely close to the reds.
There's one thing here I don't get. We're all football fans. Some, like me may have fallen out with the way it's gone at the top levels but we all started out loving football the game. I'm not advocating stopping going to Oakwell. I'm not suggesting falling in love with another club or even becoming a regular follower of another club. But I don't get the idea that you can't set foot in another ground. It's still football. The game you fell in love with. It's not a betrayal. You might as well say you're never going to watch another match on the telly. It's odd. I've watched loads of neutral games in my time. The joy in seeing one team or the other win doesn't even register compared to Barnsley but it's still perfectly possible to enjoy a good game of footy.
