'REDS ADVANCE AFTER A STRUGGLING PERFORMANCE AGAINST A 10 MAN LEAGUE 2 OUTFIT'

That sounds a more realistic headline

Surely you're not disputing that despite us playing 10.men from two leagues lower down? It was a cracking advert for the FA Cup. The commentators on the BBC were all enthusing about the end to end action. If a 5-4 game isn't thrilling then it's time to pack in.

I genuinely didn't find it thrilling, no. I missed the first half though so maybe that had an impact as I joined when we were 2-0 up, with Barrow on 10 men and saw us slip up again and again. When all the goals were going in it wasn't thrilling, it was baffling and bordering on ridiculous. I've never seen anything like it.

    I wasn’t thrilled. I was embarrassed.

At one point, they’d had five shots, four on target, and it was 4-4.

It wasn’t a slug fest, end to end. It was a ridiculously poor championship team unable to keep a lead against ten man lower league opposition. A side who hadn’t really created a huge amount but had scored 4 in under half an hour. It was allowing free headers six yards out from a cross or our goalkeeper getting beaten twice from range - to admittedly decent strikes but which any competent championship goalkeeper would have dealt with.

It wasn’t a thrilling, battling, victory. It was a cringe fest of ineptitude, aided by a good goal from a poor player in Cole, as well as being rescued by Morris coming on off the bench and outshining all the rest by being at least competent.

Must have been absolutely brilliant for any neutrals watching though.

Definitely, and I'd have had no nails left if I was a Barrow fan.
