By setting up community places etc to give kids something to do. All well and good and it's an excellent initiative but the biggest thing we need to do is mandatory prison sentences for anyone carrying a knife. And long ones too. No suspended sentences or warnings. Carry a knife and it's 5 years inside
Disagree on this one old chap. Getting kids to go somewhere, and do something should help. There needs to be more youth clubs and such like which help stop kids getting into trouble.
You do realise the issue is mainly with teenagers who we can't lock away to hide the societal problem??
just been reading about lad at a youth club in London and six lads broke in and hacked him to death with machete's while he was playing ping pong , so may be its more than just youth clubs needed
Not sure why that needs to be said when teenagers of all ethnicities are involved - Glasgow was predominantly white, and they've vastly improved in recent years. Are you suggesting we should take a different approach because they're black?
As a teenager, always had a knife on me… never crossed my mind that it was for anything other than opening stuff, or cutting stuff… I sound like one of the Americans with gun laws, however knives are a useful tool. Obviously over the years , this has changed. I think my dad still has a pocket knife he carries. Always comes in useful to him…
I’ve been in and around construction for 20 years and I don’t carry a knife everywhere.......seems very odd you would happen to need a knife just to open something or cut something
So why was it white shirts....?? Just asking Surely should be black shirts ?? So loads of BLACK peeps getting stabbed by loads of other BLACK peeps and we need white shirts?? Weird.
You're just making yourself sound even more stupid the more you post. Grow up. It's a good charity, for a good cause. That's all.
They have removed the red elements of their home shirt as part of a 'No More Red' initiative with Adidas - the red presumably linked with the blood shed as a result of knife crime. Absolutely nothing to do with needing black or white shirts. Perhaps you ought to have read about the initiative before posting in such a manner.
