Looking south into the clear night sky we've noticed a flickering light similar to a star is this the international space station?
Planets would be high in the sky at this time of year (unless rising in the East or setting in the West) and don't twinkle like stars.
That was why I went for something that tends to be more prominent like Venus, but didn't realise long time of year to see that.
Quite possibly, it's the brightest star and is only visible from the UK in winter and is always low to the South.
