Day-nighter starting at 4.00 in morning tomorrow.
Will we play Lawrence and Overton ?
Is Stokes fit to play even as just a batter ?

Oh by the way we are bottom in the World Test Championship table ( even behind Bangladesh )

I'd bring in Billing's regardless of whether Bairstow is fit to keep, at least he's played some cricket in Australia recently and has been in red hot form.

Bairstow is ruled out of keeping wicket with his thumb injury so Billings is in as far as I know

Saw one report suggesting that Leach will make way for Robinson, with Stokes unable to bowl meaning Root will be the spinner with 4 front line seamers.

4fer and helped bat out the draw, then dropped.

It’s very harsh on Leach if he’s not picked.
Like you say, he got a few wickets in last game and the top wicket taker in the Series is Lyon.

A specialist spinner must be played but then again I’m no selector

No way would I be playing Stokes. No point injuring him further for this game.

    I’d probably go with:

    Hameed
    Crawley
    Malan
    Root
    Lawrence
    Bairstow
    Billings
    Overton
    Robinson
    Broad
    Leach

Give Anderson and Wood the game off and let them rest up, especially Wood who’s injury prone at the best of times.

Sat here in the wee small hours on my own shouting at the TV - "PITCH IT UP"!!!!

Green top pitch, pink ball, overcast and it's seaming all over the place and Broad and Robinson have bowled five overs of tripe, wasting the new ball. Broad's radar all over the place and Robinson consistently at least a yard too short.

(EDIT - QED - First time Robinson brings Warner forward and he gets the edge!)

What do we reckon, Australia still ahead even at 83-4. If England had batted they'd have probably been all out for around 60!
