Don’t forget the Free 7 Day Barnsley Premier Leisure pass and as the season progresses a number of other commercial partners will be included in the offer.

Still haven’t had ours. Obviously the Royal Mail are struggling to get to the far outposts. I live in Donny, a good 14 miles from the ground…

Possibly because it says on the letter it says to follow the terms and conditions sensibly where age appropriate

They should have made it more exciting by putting say 10 free season tickets and other discounts off season tickets ,with every book having at least one voucher with a discount amount on season ticket ,would have been exciting to see what amount of discount you got ,you could have had a golden ticket in one with say spend a day at Oakwell watching training etc
Looks like they thought of idea then thought ,5hit what can we put on them

Looks like they thought 'what will sell tickets that we can avoid actually giving like we have done for the last two years' then legal action was threatened for false advertising along with intense social media mocking and the good hardworking but ultimately powerless club staff had to rush to come up with anything they could

Agree with this, we won’t use the majority of them as have no appeal to us as we don’t really eat pies and hot dogs. I still struggle to understand how in this day and age sports clubs sell crap food to fans and never any healthy alternative. We will give ours away x 3! Shame there weren’t more offers for the club shop as would have appreciated that.

gotta be honest, they're exactly the type of thing I was expecting. but then again I didn't even know about these vouchers until someone mentioned 'em on here. under different owners I suspect there wouldn't be anything like the reaction they're getting.

The thing is these aren't free vouchers, they're vouchers that people have paid extra for and as such you shouldn't have to spend an additional £150 minimum in order to activate the vouchers.
It shouldn't be buy a pie and get a free soft drink. It should be a free soft drink or at least £1 off the price of a soft drink. 10 vouchers offering £1 off the price of a soft drink would have still seen the club making a considerable amount of money on the sales but would have actually been a reward rather than a free soft drink if you buy our poor quality pies.
It shouldn't be 10% off when you spend £50 on hats and cups it should be £5 off a hat or cup etc.

There's a reason I don't think previous owners would have had this response and that's that I don't think any previous owner would have behaved in this way and I include Doyle in that.

They’re ‘sort of’ what I was expecting, £5 off in shop / 10% off certain lines - in my book thats fine. Where they’ve gone wrong is they shouldn’t be tying any of the food vouchers into an existing purchase - I mean come on it’s a free coffee or coke, the cost price to them is pennies - just give some free pie/burger and drinks vouchers - avoid the opportunity for us to complain again, its crackers.

I can only speak for myself, but I had zero input whatsoever into the offerings. We just made sure they were visually decent (because they weren’t originally) and tried over Xmas to find out why they weren’t released.

Wonder what will be on offer when the next set of begging letters are issued in a couple of months :D.

In fact, they should be paying us to go and watch :D

The question that you have to ask yourselves if you've received a voucher book is, does it represent value for money for the initial outlay of the additional £50 you paid extra for a season ticket.

Personally, I'd say absolutely not. Others may feel differently.

As others have said, you should not be having to spend lots more money to use the vouchers. It should be a free hot drink, soft drink, pint of lager etc.
I suspect the fat controller thought they could sweep it under the carpet and only when they've been mocked on social media and subsequent threats of legal action have the decent staff been left to sort out this **** show.

I’m not a reserved plus holder but has everyone forgot the free (already paid for) shirt?
