Yes, it was a great and fitting end to a fantastic show. I wonder what genius Gervais will come up with next.
Just finished it this morning. Gutted it's over. Ricky has had me howling with laughter and welling up with tears not 5 minutes apart. Beautifully written.
Haven't started series 3 yet, but the first two were brilliant, so am expecting more of the same. Had fully expected not to enjoy it while watching the very first episode, as his character was so genuinely unlikeable, and it turned out to be one of the highest quality programmes of the last few years.
I used to feel like that about "season" but then I kind of got my head around the fact that the program in its entirety is the series and the yearly chunks are seasons. I'm at peace with it now.
Binge watched it yesterday as I'm laid up with a bad back, it is a brilliantly observed comedy/drama, Ricky Gervais is one of my favourite people, he can evoke every emotion superbly.
I felt that especially the first couple of episodes. Still excellent though and probably shows it wqs the right time to end it.
I totally 100% agree with you. The word 'season' in this context is causing me so much angst, and what's more I'm correcting (British) people on youtube comments for saying it. Whilst I'm at it, it's a railway station, not a train station. A film not a movie. And for goodness sake, it's Mum not mom. I am sure there are loads more FOR I AM BRITISH NOT AMERICAN. Edit: I've not watched any yet, but will get around to it in the next few years.
I might have misheard this, but they were talking about it on a TV show I had on in the background and mentioned the show was the most-watched British TV show(or may have been sitcom) ever. It's a great watch, I have to admit...
He did indeed. Had always got to me watching American TV then I saw that rant. All Americans should be force to watch it.
