Almost seems like devaluation of the club since this lot took over.

I did not see the YP article on the board so posted it. I know its not new info, but it is depressing info. I think we will have grin and bare it and accept that we are now L1 side and will be for many years to come. But surely we can achieve a decent standing in L1. I do not see that being too much to ask. Also there a good deal of BIGish names down there .... and even the MASSIVES from down the road.

Whilst these owners are here, we will become a L1/L2 yo-yo club, as opposed to Champ/L1.
But I'm struggling to see what's in it for them tbh. Why bother, no big bucks, relatively, for a media empire (?) to be buying up lower league European clubs and running them into the ground, but that's what they are consistent at doing.

Aye but we are a stable club

Ffs even Peterborough and Luton sign championship players. We are running this club like we are in league 2

I'm not accepting we're a league 1 side until we are. And I'm certainly don't intend on settling for league 1 because these owners know bugger all about football and seem to have no intention of learning.

We don't have any other option.
I think the club could be in a lot of financial trouble come the end of this season.

£0 on the balance sheet followed by a £6m deficit after relegation to L1.

Some crap players on long contracts, other players like Helik, who's value must be depreciating all the time. I can only see Collins commanding a good transfer fee.
Could be a fire sale in the summer (get what they can) whilst bringing in players on free transfers.

Probably bought us with ideas of the land and ground, use the clubs money to pay the imstallments now its not all going to plan looks like they are running it into the ground, the closing of west stand, taking abit of money to not have kane back, the ***** appointments, the treatment of fans. Are they trying to de-value the club? If not it looks like they are.

Be in even more trouble after appointing jokers as head coaches alienating the fans and struggle to sell season tickets. They have a group of fans wanting the 80% out and that number keeps increasing.
I didnt think we would make any big signings this window but maybe an experienced center midfielder after letting kane stay at oxford for a few quid. January is a sellers market wouldnt be suprised to see a few sold as we will get more this window than in summer.

I just don't want the 80% mob out I want their enablers out too the Crynes aka the 20% mob well Cryne jr to be absolutely clear. He's equally responsible for the stupid notion that the only reason the board couldn't flog players last summer was playing style and not covid caused transfer market reduction and the catastrophic decision to completely change the playing style as a result of this muddled thinking. Barnsley FC needs a complete clear out Head coach, CEO and the board, the whole let of em gone.

When you own 20% of something you can do very little. I dont mind the policy of buying young players over the years we have signed some good players and had success now every signing is to make profit on and the scatter gun approach is here.

I'll remind you he owns far more than much of the consortium of 80%

Half the ground on top of the 20% of BFC investments. The 20 % is either on a par or more than others of the consortium with probable exception of chien.

So can we stop with the notion that he hardly has any ownership. Cos where I'm sitting he has a rather chunky say on things.

The ground is irrelevant really id rather him and the council own half because i think if the rest got there hands on it it would be very bad for the club.

My point was more there sat round a table and chein and conaway and the others say one thing the man with 20% even if he disagrees not alot he can do about it.
