I think he'd be class in Val's system. Wasn't lightweight at all - used to win loads of headers for us. That being said, selling him probably allowed us to bring in some of our good recruits from last summer so no regrets
Wasn’t bothered when Brown left to be honest , as much as he worked hard his final ball was woeful on occasions However I did think there was a player in there somewhere and I think he would actually fit into our system better now
Loved Browny but I have no sympathy for the kid. Sure his wallet will be fuller these days but he certainly won’t be feeling happy at the moment especially with the Stoke fans constantly on his back every week. His ‘dream’ move has been a nightmare one put it that way. Still with the money we received for him we were able to sign players like Helik, Brittain and Morris etc. So all in all it worked out well in the end... for us that is.
He's young, plenty of time for it to work out for him too but I agree the Stoke fans have been savage on their forum!
He’d be ideal in this system. A lot better option than any of Chaplin, Frieser & Adeboyejo. Not sure whether I watched the same Jacob Brown as some of the others on this post. I’m reading he was lightweight & his final ball was poor. To me his physicality & his final ball were two of his biggest assets. It was his finishing that was his major downfall.
Very frustrating player at times, Browny. Honestly think he'd have been good to have in the system we play now though. I reckon he would've been an improvement on all of Chaplin, Vic and Frieser.
Been loaned out a third time..... https://abseits.at/fusball-in-oster...innenverteidiger-hartberg-verpflichtet-aydin/ I liked him when he was with us and thought he was treated poorly. Red Bull don't seem bothered about him as he doesn't get chances with them.
I always thought Jacob Brown was underrated by our fans. I bet he wasn't far off double figures for assists in the season we survived at Brentford, what we'd do now for a creative wide striker like that.
Let's be honest, both Brown and Ludewig would strengthen the squad as it currently stands. It just shows how poor the recruitment has been and how we have gone backwards.
