Langer didn't come over great on the eight part Australia Cricket documentary on Amazon. Quite the moody and miserable type.

From 37-3 you expect the Aussies to get a decent 2nd innings score (200 - 250). if roles were reversed and England were 37-3 you just know it's going to be 100 - 130 all out.

Yep, hard to see us winning from here. Anything over 250 batting last is nigh on impossible on that pitch.
We just needed another 70 or so runs and we’d have been well in the game. Same old story….

anything over 200 and we'd struggle, read jimmy is injured, he would have thrived on the last session ,wood been the pick of our bowlers but even he got tonked a bit last 2 days, dragged it back 2nd innings
read comments earlier on woakes, he got a let off today batting, but his batting/bowling figures for this ashes series and not that bad compared to the rest, but he comes in when already in the **** usually and can't turn a game
our batting has been pathetic, fielding been average, bowling good but lacking the killer instinct, seen glimpses of it, but nothing like the aussies where they seem to flick a switch and boom,
gotta mention scott boland, what a find he's been for the aussies, almost robot like in his bowling and 2 dollys dropped off his bowling today too then survived 25 of the last 35 balls as night watchman and took a couple raps to his fingers but still looked solid, possibly be a 1 series wonder but love watching him,
worst part of today was not having smith/labuschagne in together, because it's funny has hell watching their leaves in tandem ;-)

I always wonder what Sir Geoffrey would think of the twitching twins.

He couldn’t really dispute their high averages but I reckon he’d be scathing in his own way.
Is Boycott still on Test match special ?

Bowlers should be fined for that.

121-8 to 148-8, we've got to wrap this up quickly now

Pretty much the story of the series with the ball. They’ll get 200+

60/6 and they’re now over 150. We cannot wrap this tail up can we?

Another wicket off a no ball is criminal. The lack of professionalism in this team is astounding.

    Carey out now.

Should be batting soon but Lyon did get 30 last knock.

Yep. The most frustrating thing is we're making them look so much better than they are. I don't think this that good an Australian team but England have been diabolical.

i said earlier that we don't have the killer instinct
we had them at 63/6, no way should they be reaching 100 from there

    That’s it.

Wood finishes with 6/37. Delighted for him he’s been outstanding for most of the series without the reward he deserved. Extremely likeable bloke who puts his heart into every performance. The Aussies have really taken to him this tour apparently.

I'm pleased for Mark Wood. He's bowled really well at times this series and has been unlucky.

Interestingly England's bowling coach came out the other day and said Robinson has to get fitter!
