I’d be careful quoting speculative transfer fees. I don’t believe we paid anywhere near what the press sometimes quote for players like Schmidt, Thomas and Kane. Even going back to Thiam.

I’ve never really seen £1 million for Schmidt mentioned anywhere officially to be honest.

I think thats about the ground and agreements information at the beginning, i dont think its that simple and you could make that up fortunstely any new buyers wont have to because its now knowledge.

Do we know what the Cryne family did about the 750k because in their situation I would be refusing to accept the 750k knowing where it came from?

Ah, sorry that's not what I was talking about. I don't think I made myself very clear. What I mean is we have more fans, better facilities and a bigger exposure. Therefore we should be able to make more money from things that aren't simply player sales. If our clubshop wasn't so embarrassing we could and should make more money than Luton and Blackpool there. If our owners had properly got behind the fanzine we could and should have made money there instead of it being fan led and the money going out of the club. Should make more in matchday ticket sales and away fans but poor decisions mean we don't.

    Things like that.

I do t think anyone disagrees they have got things wrong, i certainly dont. The point is now whats the best way to go forward. Forcing them out, protests, them spending their own money, stopping supporting the players, stopping going, getting on the players and coaches back isnt the way forward in the best interests of the club.
They will know the fans are not happy and i dont think the owners will be happy either.

I read that it uses the performance data with some kind of algorithm to create a value that's all. And it isn't even 100% accurate with the data. Remember a few years ago it said Hammill had no assists and 1 goal and I produced a video showing his 2 assists and 1 goal or something like that. People still told me I was lying and transfermarkt was correct even after watching the video.

Oh good, another binary choice thread. The truth of the matter is they are totally inept and they are wasting/have wasted the money that the club generates itself anyway - bank balance down £5m despite numerous sales and despite massively (c. £1m+ this year) increased season ticket revenue under their tenure.

Stubborn and inept selections of pub league coaches with no charisma, plan or experience of operating anywhere near the league we play in and wasteful, ill-informed, ill-researched, non-complementary, scattergun, dogmatic recruitment of inexperienced, mentally weak, physically suspect youngsters based on potential increase in resale value are just two of the most key examples of their waste of yours and my money.

Add to that the fact that they have not even fully paid for their purchase of the club and have diverted club generated resources (at least £750k) from those available for playing strength in the process. Add to that their failure to address either the purchase or upkeep of the ground whilst still paying a relatively (to other teams) huge annual rental payment to the Crynes/council, decreasing again the club-generated resources available for playing strength again and stacking up future costs to put things right.

Add to that the massive wages of unnecessary no added value 'yes men' executives and the zero progress of any commercial development the way that is obvious when we visit other clubs of a similar size.

I suspect these owners are also taking expenses, legal costs and interest on their initial loans from club generated resources but regardless and by any measure it is totally clear that these owners are spectacularly mismanaging the club and not getting anywhere near full value from the funds that the club held, earns and has earned from you, me, the league and TV etc during their time. That is the bottom line even before the OP question arises and the reason why they need to be called out and go asap.

Best chance our players have got is to have a ground full of passionate Barnsley supporters cheering and encouraging them on, drowning out the noise from the away fans.
Stop all the online abuse and moans and groans in the ground on matchday. It may not be enough but its better than what we are doing now.
The protests, Conway out groups are not going to improve things only winning football matches improves things.

100% my understanding as well. I think the same site lists the largest transfer fees received in League One and Pinnock doesn’t even make the list.

You do not know any of that as fact, you are speculating and building it up in to your own agenda, unless you are part of the running of the club you will never know the true facts of how any football club is opearating.

Some fans have always been part of the problem, cheer when we win boo when we lose. Its easy way out much harder to supoort a team when they are struggling. Again no one is arguing that these owners are good we all want them to leave

Its harder to support a team what is struggling than when its winning, unfortunately people need support more when things are tough.
