Can't argue with the job granny shagger has done there. He's got a side that actually have a backbone. Still, wouldn't mind them going under!

Crazy isn't it?! And Stevie G still wasn't happy last summer as he wanted them to spend more cash!! Clubs don't learn.

But it was Mel Morris who delayed the accounts so things weren't sorted last season. I feel for Wycombe in all honesty, Boro not so much as they still had to actually win the playoffs to go up and I'm not so sure they would have done.

And Gibson was one of the original people who bankrolled a club.

A bit ironic that an impediment to the club being saved is an action by another club largely brought because the league didn't apply its own rules properly. Apparently they have until 1st February to prove they have funds. Saw on one newsfeed this being described as "high roon" :D

Seems a well worded, Frank and honest statement.
If it was Barnsley pursuing legal action, I'd put money on it being quashed.
With Steve Gibson behind it, I reckon it might succeed.

I think he'll go to Everton, can't see Martinez leaving Belgium in a world cup year. Rooney's done a great job tbf, think that will trigger total player exodus and certain relegation regardless of any more sanctions from the EFL.

Oh the irony of the Chairman that threw millions at them for the likes of Jounino, Emerson &Ravenelli amongst others to be complaining about clubs spending too much.
When he was the big fish it didn’t seem to matter.

But at the time, there wasn't the FFP rules in place, and he didn't spend years taking the p*** with delaying tactics.

Though, they've started to spend a fair bit again now...

I am surprised by how many people would not be bothered if Derby went out of business , I think it would be really sad, there would suddenly a whole new batch of workers looking for new employment , yes punish the club in what ever way is appropriate, but at the end of the day the football club is a place of work for many people & I do not like to see people lose their jobs.& of course the knock on effect it has on suppliers such as caterers & printers etc takes its toll.

No you’re right, I just find it a little ironic one of the original big spenders complaining about people spending money.
To me it feels like a tad sour grapes as he can’t compete with the rich people now.

For me the way the way to look at is, they may be a long standing established clubwith ‘histor’ but they had no qualms cheating in away that has impacted on similar clubs

My mate whose a Derby fan thinks it’s all smoke and mirrors to ensure a further points deduction if by some miracle they make up the rest of the 21 points on the teams above us….

Bolton and Birmingham were cheating when we went down in 2017/18, but they didn't get their comeuppance until the following season. It was that close we were 2 minutes + injury time from staying up instead of Bolton. It couldn't be argued they should have got their punishment earlier though.

I feel for their fans because they don't deserve it but it does need some big clubs to go to the wall to provide the momentum to start to roll back the mess that is football finance and governance. I really hope Tracey Crouch's review recommendations are implemented

Mr Hemsworth Tyke sent me this earlier which is an interesting insight into what's going on

I can't see that writing to Nadine "too thick to understand that Channel 4 is not funded by the license fee" Dorries will do anything for WRDC.
