Managed 30 minutes and my toes have curled 180 degrees despite good work from 'this side of the camera' for which, thanks. Will do some more 30 minute chunks later and hope it gets better but I'm left with the overarching feeling of a man fiddling whilst Rome is burning and/or someone to whom a process is more important than impact. Particular lowlights so far are his insinuation that Styles, Palmer, Gomes and Benson are experienced players, that part of the reason for leaving Kane at Oxford was to increase his value and that we are competitive with Luton, Coventry and Blackpool.
Got to be careful giving an exact number though as you know it will be forever thrown back at you. What I took from it was that we've got enough midfielders, that should be better than they're showing, to occupy one of those midfield places. It's improving who plays alongside them that we need to recruit. Then another forward player to support Morris, Iseka and Cole. Do we need a left back? Maybe it's not a priority if we start playing a back four and Kitching is going to go there. Up for debate that one.
My exact thoughts too, I lasted about 30 minutes. Serious serious problems from the CEO upwards, negligence, denial etc...... How low can we go before they change tact or accept some sort of responsibility? My guess is they won't therefore........ Over to the Conway Out Group
Kitching's performance against Barrow is in my bottom 10 performances by a Barnsley player and I'm struggling to think of the other 9 that could compete with it.
Didn't see it. I feel like I've not watched us kick a ball for months. Sauntering around without a care in the world football wise - almost like we've been winning.
Wishing they would play better together isn't going to work though unfortunately. Possibly in league 1 they might do better, but they are powder puff at times and even in league 1 that will still be a problem. 1 player to replace Woodrow , any others and we'd no doubt have to sell our better players to fund them?
I think you missed my point Helen? I wasn't talking about the four we have playing together. More meaning that bringing in one of quality would have a positive impact on who they're playing alongside (out of the four).
I don't know which poster it was but I saw a post last week that said if we sign one decent midfielder we could go on a winning run and stay up easily. I agree with that poster. Apart from midfield we haven't really lost any of the squad.
Sounds like the predictable waste of time. Even more reason to drive these charlatans out of the club.
