Fair play to both for pushing the questions on the £750k. No satisfactory answers. The 80% mob are using our money to pay the clubs purchase. I will not be putting my money into the club while this is still ongoing. I think many more will make the same choice. It's possible this summer will see the largest year on year drop in season ticket sales we have seen.
"It's hard to answer, I wasn't there" He's said that for the first three questions. Pathetic from him.
Charlie Bishop against Birmingham at home when we got spanked by the odd goal or 5, pick any game Tom Kennedy played in for the other 8
On this one the answer isn't satisfactory because I don't agree that the £750k should have been paid by the football club. But I'm not sure what else Khaled could do other than go to all the owners for a response, and then tell us he's had confirmation from them all that it was an agreed payment for promotion. If you take his response as his word, then it isn't an 80% thing because it was agreed by everyone. This somewhat contradicts what the Cryne Family put out in 2019, but without hearing from them direct we've got to assume they've spoken to Khaled for that response to be given.
So they caught me in the West Stand It Wasn't Me Then they saw me in the Fan Zone It Wasn't Me Saw me posting out the vouchers It Wasn't Me And then sorting out the visas It Wasn't Me
Probably still a good idea to watch it and draw your own conclusions, rather than following what others have said.
I think to be fair to him, a lot of the questions would have been better posed to someone from the board like Paul Conway who has a view of what has gone on since he wasn't here. That request is made at the end. He's only been here 4 months. I thought he did his best to answer in the circumstances but some questions sent in weren't really aimed at him. We asked about all the subjects sent in I think. I also believe if this interview had been conducted with him last season we'd be enthusing about his plans for the club and his positivity for the future. I think we've got a decent CEO in place who's having to deal with a mess that's not of his making. (Including the West Stand, realistically)
Agreed I have no reason to belive he isn't sincere in his response. The answer he read out was very poor, if that's all the owners are willing to say on the subject, then it show lack of respect for the fans concerns.
Strongly disagree. He must know the kind of questions that would be popping up - he's surely not daft. He should have absolutely done his due diligence, not be scratching around telling us about our experienced midfield and then saying it was before his time anyway so it's nowt to do with him. Great job from you two so far by the way. I'm about half an hour in and you're doing a grand job.
Absolutely pathetic. Excellent from loko and gally but Khaled talks a load of ********. It's all about making money for them and nothing to do with football. Styles, Palmer and Benson is an experienced midfield. Aye ok then Pack your bags mate, you're ****
About 40 mins in. Main points so far that I can think of are; - He used the signing of Mowatt to replace Hourihane as an example to support the signing of young players to replace Mowatt. Trouble is, we were relegated in the first full season after Hourihane left. - Apparently clubs were asking for 25k/week to wages to loan players. Obviously if we don't have the money, then there's no decision to be made. But making a big offer for a loan player would be a better use of ~£600k than signing a young player for a fee + wages.
Apart from everything else he spouts **** about there is something that comes across far too obvious to me and that is just how defeatist he is. Players won't want to come to a small shitty team like barnsley.cwe have to make do with what we've got. We can't afford anyone any good. It is what it is. Fèck me is his job to try to turn us into a Sunday league team? Because it's how he talks. Wouldn't want to work anywhere near him nevermind play for a club he's supposedly trying to sell me on.
Tbf he can't answer what the owners think. I would like to know what the discussions are about Oakwell, does he mean he's discussing a longer lease than the remaining 7 years, trying to negociate a cheaper price for those 7 years or negotiating for the council and the Crynes to fund/help fund improvements?
Well yeah he can because he can talk to the owners. Don't forget that a lot of these questions were vetted in advance and he has eyes and ears. He should KNOW the very basic questions fans will ask and SHOULD have got answers from his puppet masters rather than just using the cowards way out by saying not my problem, ask someone else.
