Still seems to me a bit like they were all squashed together and remember that this q&a only came about after you approached him too
You need to be clear and good at communication. You need to be empowered to take and make decisions. He’s nothing but a ‘maybe man’ Masquerading as a CEO. Wouldn’t last 5 minutes in a proper company.
I agree. But that's a very different issue to Khaled not preparing a good enough answer. And this is coming from someone who has been venomously vocal about this payment leaving the club accounts.
I completely agree with you there but feel that he should have gone to his boss much stronger and asked for him to face the fans. Ive seen nothing to even remotely suggest he's done that
No time scale but he's in discussion with the Council and he's had talks with Dan Jarvis down at Oakwell.
Not very clear on who chooses which formation we play. Sounded more like a club decision rather than a coach one
But he is a young CEO Brought in from the CEO Spreadsheet He is the Josh Benson of the CEO world Raw and lightweight, but will come good in a couple of years. Then we'll sell him.
Yes I thought that. He seemed to dodge the question and answer something that wasn't asked. Then again that seems to be the theme for 2.49 of the 2.5 hour q&a
Ok, maybe. I was thinking more that it related to the remaining yearly payments for purchase of the club....... So you think cos of the covenant situation, it's more about no more additional payments, whether that comes from the club or not? Not tripping you up, just like most of us trying to make sense of it.
All I can give our CEO credit for is facing the questions. He didn't answer them, I suppose you could praise him for dodging them all, without the need to hide in a fridge.
We approached him but we were pushing against an open door to be honest. I think there's things to be critical of, but as mentioned in previous posts and think it's important we don't drift off piste or speculate, and focus on what is a genuine issue. The £750k is a genuine issue. Khaled telling us that all owners agreed to the payment at the time of the sale, and it was a promotion bonus, in terms of him answering the question shouldn't be an issue. Focus needs to be directed elsewhere now for me.
He's doing that for us if you fast forward to the very last question (which I assume you've not got to yet)
Personally speaking, I actually do feel for the CEO a little bit at this point. I suspect he's trying his best, and I've no reason to think he's lying. But like our players and coach, I just don't think he's good enough, and is taking direction from owners who don't appear to give a fk. At the end of the day, we're not his boss. Some of the answers just felt miles off what I would expect. I only asked one question, and the answer was all over the place. We now seem to be approaching a point where the CEO's answers aren't good enough, and we're in this monkey/organ grinder situation. That's pretty untenable for a CEO.
