Here's the exchange that I assume got me banned. Was it your original question I replied to with this? I must admit I found this reply to Gally to be in bad taste and more deserving of censorship than anything in the above or asked by a handful of others in the group - which all got deleted.
As a moderator of the group do you agree with not having an open discussion about being provided more info than is currently available? Did you think the discussion that was deleted was not constructive?
Tbf any campaign does need funds. As I understand it, things are being financed by individuals for now, but that won't be sustainable long term.
It is mate. I’ll be honest, when it first started I was admin on the group. Asked several times who I was helping out and what the actual plan was. They refused to be named as I suspect they didn’t was any possible legal action to get back to them and they had business and reputations to protect. It was fine for the admins of the group to take the flack if anything did happen. I left after that as it didn’t feel right. Asked the question again today about who they were and how fans could back a group they didn’t know. Martin who runs the group hasn’t even met the “investors” but seems to have all his eggs in one basket and is now running the group completely different to what the group is about, open and honest discussions with open and honest ownership. I know some on the group genuinely want change and what’s best for the club but as I see it now, the group will be gone in a month and all forgotten about.
Club arse lickers. This is the guy that business men that are capable of spending 10m, 20m quid have enlisted to plot toppling an international business consortium.
From the start it struck me as a bunch of ten bob millionaire chancers who don’t have the first idea of running or paying for a football club. These were my thoughts only not based on fact. Just the dodgy way of the Facebook campaign…
I've shared what I was banned for for full and complete transparency. Don't think you'll find evidence of club arse licking or trouble making. Did you? Interesting that the same group that spent so much time making comments that the Q&A would be a waste of time, would be an edited video, questions would be cherry picked, nothing tough asked, and answers prepared in advance, are now cherry picking their members and editing posts they don't agree with.
You ask some very sensible, valid questions. By refusing to answer them, removing them and then removing you from the group, they're just alienating people and looking a bit silly to be honest. Your points are totally justified and as you say, it could be a case of frying pan into the fire. One (alleged) wealthy backer and a bunch of passionate anti-Conway lads (and lasses) on Facebook isn't necessarily the perfect antidote to our situation.
Not being targeted. Just a penny for your thoughts on the question. 'As a moderator of the group do you agree with not having an open discussion about being provided more info than is currently available? Did you think the discussion that was deleted was not constructive?'
I refer you to my response to their first 'minutes' of their first 'meeting'. I have never read as much nonsense in my whole life.
Helen. Step back and think about what you are saying. The Facebook group has been initiated by wealthy individuals who have 10-20m to buy the football club but the campaign needs to be funded by the fans? How much do you think a protest campaign would cost?
Because you're challenging what has been said with no reasonable counter argument. Isn't that obvious?
I'm not a member, just searched on Facebook and found them, 1400 members. Personally my take is that regardless of motivation there are a chunk of reds fans who are at the least wanting to vent their spleen about our owners. They may or may not have some capacity to do something about our owners. I'd love it if they could. But I'm inclined to think live and let live here mate. I think we are all a bit worried as to how far the club could sink and how much some unity could be of use further down the line. I wouldn't want us all to end up like the people's front of Judea.
You mean, there are no mystery millionaire backers that want to remain nameless but that happen also to be Barnsley fans?? Well, I feel used.
I’ve seen this kind of thing before with an online “stop brexit” group that my mate joined. Claimed to have inside contacts, they were well connected etc Built up a decent following, people felt they were in the know, apart of a community that could make a difference etc 3 months the group starting asking for a monthly payment to help with their admin costs, loads did it because they wanted to keep receiving their insider info and didn’t want to loose the mates they’d joined. Then it was give a few quid for this and that. My mate got out of it at that point. Some carried on and gave thousands. Turned out to be a huge con. I have a vibe this is a similar scam and they’ll start to ask for payment. The number one clue is that people hide behind anonymity
