Not to detract from the opening point and most of what has followed but we knew the square root of exactly nothing about Lee, Conway and co before they were unveiled. Fans weren't asked to back the PMG takeover, granted, but we got what we were given by Patrick.

To be perfectly honest I wouldn't have expected any serious businessperson to show their hand at this stage so it does seem doubly odd that (if they exist) they seem prepared to be associated with a campaign which is designed to p off the people they want to sell the club to them. Anyone serious about buying the club quickly would be contacting Conway and starting negotiations.

I despise PMG more and more every day to a level which will reach terminal velocity if they don't seriously address this transfer window. However, if there is a serious bidder then we know from the Nice experience that PMG will sell but only if the price is right for them and that agitation doesn't speed that process up.

They don’t have to start naming names. But would help if they stated whether the group was capable of buying the owners out and running the club. Or if they are just hoping the owners leave so they can step in.

If they keep blocking folk for questioning them, more people will start to doubt their existence

If you're fronting up a campaign, even if you can't reveal the identity of who's ultimately behind it and exactly what funds they do or don't have, you need a lot more information than is being given currently. It's fair of supporters to ask that question, which is what happened this evening, when you're asking them to follow you, believe in you, and trust you. There's nothing about that sentiment that isn't fair.

I asked one of the gentleman heading up the campaign earlier today what he thought, just as a supporter, it would take to get the current ownership group to listen. I threw out the figure of £20 million. After a couple of politician like replies about not wanting to say as he doesn't know the value of football clubs, he suggested the owners wouldn't need anything because the club would be worthless if they emptied the balance sheet and sold all the players.

That alone would concern me they think the owners will just step aside and let them waltz in. I pointed out that as we're staring at a £6-8 million loss in revenue, that the owners spent £8 million buying the club, and that they still owe £2.75m on the original deal, we don't have enough players to sell to return enough of a profit that they could take a dividend that gives them a significant ROI to then walk away. I didn't even mention there was zero money on the balance sheet.

A member on here who was a shareholder in the old Barnsley FC made a post saying a consortium which seemed to consist of present and past sponsors of the club were in talks to buy the club ,but out of nowhere Patrick decided to sell it to the present consortium.

I presumed if they were actually any super secret backers !! it was those people and it would make sense not to front up for obvious reasons.
    still involved with the club

I doubt they would be directly involved or aligned with the group for obvious reasons again

I cannot see that serious, credible, potential buyers would be using the Conway Out slogan.
    Perhaps I'm rather old fashioned.

That's the thing, people say with good business people at the helm the club will be self-sustainable (which it could be), but they often forget the millions needed in order to purchase the club in the first place.

If it's a hoax then so be it, at the very least it will get people's attention and put the spotlight on the running of the club. I'd say the supporters trust should focus their efforts into applying more pressure on the current ownership. The answers from the CEO today we're totally unsatisfactory to the majority of the fan base.

Maybe…. But they’d need to be well more than millionaires to even contemplate it….

Its funny how people have issues with the club for lack of transparency and need to be challenged but when the same applies the other way its different.

i stated in a prior thread the transparency and who they stand for are the issues. I also said there might be a ‘Conway Out, Out’ group. Maybe i was right

If they are capable of buying the group out id get in touch with conway and speak to him the ceo said yesterday more or less they would leave if someone came in with a subjective bid to buy them out.

Is it possible to agree with wanting Conway and Co out, but at the same time think that blocking people on Facebook for asking reasonable questions is the action of a set of absolute fannies with no idea what they're doing?

So you are a serious investor with the funds to purchase the club.

Khaled was pretty clear that the current owner would sell if the investor met their valuation. If you wanted to remove Conway would you go in now or wait until relegation and the financial pressures of the first division and the reduced income hits?

It’s already been stated that they don’t want to put ‘their own’ money in so how do they propose to fund another season in league one if they can’t offload players at a significant profit in the summer?

For an investor group who have a track record of making distressed purchases there would be a certain symmetry with that approach.

Can someone pass the EFL fit and proper test if they've given money to the fans to protest and make the current owners lives difficult?Acted as agent provocateur? As I understand it the group has been initiated by fans that want Conway out, including Luke Goddard from Tykes TV

There was nothing wrong in your posts BUT going round in circles does get frustrating. As it is a campaign group rather than a discussion group like this can understand their position ( although I think its wrong because even if all the 1500 members protest at matches/organise boycotts it won't be enough, it has to be the majority imo.
